What is your dream member count for your club!?💌✨
If you had an ideal amount of members to join your club, what would that number be? (you don't have to have a club to answer, we're dreaming here ✨)

more than 100 😁
Seems like being an artist is more screen time than creating time 🎨
It's now 9:30 EST and I have not yet painted, drawn, or designed anything... I suppose if you count content creation (filming + editing) you might say I was being creative; I however just feel like my eyes are going to fall out from looking at a screen all day, and like I wasted a ton of time. But I didn't!! I got a lot of things done on my laptop that I've been meaning to do! Why does it feel unproductive? Can anyone else relate?

I also experience this, especially with editing and creating content for social media; it's still taking me a lot of time. I hope that with practice I can do it faster.
I've done 17 test prints and am still confused 😅
Ok so I've tried editing on canva, photoshop, photoshop express, procreate and exporting on the canon printing app, I tried RGB but cmyk seems to be working better but I still don't have it down to a science. I've been doing a lot of research and I found out that a lot of people calibrate their monitors so they know what the colors are going to look like before they hit print....this makes sense to me since in order to get even semi accurate I have to turn my brightness alllll the way down on my monitor to try to envision what it's going to look like on paper, but its still a guessing game!! Do you guys calibrate your monitors? What programming works best for you?

Good question, I haven't printed anything but I'll ask. My sister recently printed some books.
My Happy Mail Club 💌
Hi everyone! ☺️ I’m Malin, a kawaii artist who loves creating cute illustrations with my original characters. I started a quarterly mail club last August, first more like patreon rewards. I learned a bit on the way, but I think it’s too much to share in this post 😅 Short version: - Don’t expect too much - slow growth doesn’t mean your club/products are not good - promoting takes min. as much time and effort like designing your mail 🙈 - share on different platforms to find your target audience - add something that feels personal - connect with other people who run a mail club so that you can do exchanges and help each other promoting or giving feedback/helping with your mail concept My Happy Mail started with 5 different tiers (also a digital only one) but people joined only one, so I decided to reduce it to only one physical tier after two seasons 🙈 My current mail includes: 🌷 1-2 die-cut stickers 🌷 art print 🌷 a mini sticker sheet or set 🌷 extra paper goodies that can always be different (in the spring mail it’s a tiny zine, in winter it was a hand drawn doodle) 🌷 personal letter It’s still a tiny club (3 members), but I really love working on new products and designs for it. Members can also see behind the scenes and help shape future ideas! I’d love to create a space where we support, inspire and motivate each other to get creative. If you like cute art & stationery, I’d be happy if you check it out. You can also buy the spring edition for a one time purchase in my shop (no subscription) to try it out before joining the club ☝️😋 https://ko-fi.com/rumaankawaii Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rumaan_kawaii?igsh=MWNidDV3cmk3bWQwdQ%3D%3D&utm_source=qr Threads: https://www.threads.com/@rumaan_kawaii?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==

They're so cute!😊 Is that page like Patreon, or what's the difference? It's the first time I've seen it.

The First Step of Starting a Mail Club
Ok!!! So as you guys know....I'm starting a mail club!! YAYYYY and I'm sharing all those first intimidating steps of that process. So today let's talk about the very first one....coming up with the theme. Now you may think that's easy, the theme is 🥁---> I paint something and then send prints of that painting.... and that general concept is absolutely true BUT you then need to ask yourself, what will set me apart from the rest of the artists starting mail clubs? Why will people choose MINE? So let's go through my own thought process :) #1 It has to be original 🎨 Not only will this make you unique and intriguing to the buyer, but you also shouldn't copy a theme that's already preforming well for someone else, not only is this highly frowned upon in the art world but it will not be profitable. #2 It has to have low production costs 💸 My first thought to make my club intriguing was to just give people more than what everyone else does, a print, a bunch of stickers, a charm, a handwritten letter etc... but with the average cost of monthly mail clubs being $7 - $13 I would absolutely be losing money in the end. #3 It has to be sustainable for YOU 💌 SHOCKER you will have to pick a theme that you will enjoy creating in for MONTHS on end. You'll have to come up with endless ideas surround it. So for you, maybe that's a medium (e.g. watercolor, oil pastels, digital) Or it could be a subject matter (e.g. landscapes, character design, architecture) ORRRRR you can do what I notice preforms the highest a mix of the two (e.g. watercolor landscapes, digital character design, oil pastel architecture) That way people will know EXACTLY what they're signing up for and the probability of liking the product received in the mail is much higher. Turns out coming up with the idea isn't as easy as you'd think it is 😅 Comment if you thought this was helpful!!

Finding suppliers who make a good product is also a challenge because first you have to test if they do it right, because sometimes it doesn't turn out as you expected and you have to change suppliers😑

@Ría Suri Studio Yes, regarding the printing service, to know which one is best? Have you tried any? Because the printing service will depend on the country.
