Hi! I studied this book last year and I found it very helpful to understand the viewers Pov better. It helped me quite a lot to understand technically how to showcase my story and how the connection between fan and characters develops. The book examines how viewers emotionally engage with both drama and reality television. She also explains why viewers abandon TV shows, or in most of the books she talks about reality show and the concept of selling and popuarizing other people's emotions. She does so by also talking and interviewing screenwriters, producers of these shows, like Got to dance and MasterChef. Here I put a pdf that summarises the book. I don't know if there's a pdf.
