PART 2. What if we had our own spade card game? A Solo Exhibition by Mensah Ebenezer
The whole project is to substitute the elements on the Western spade card to fit in our culture serving as avenue to foster cultural education and preservation. Massive research was done on the symbolic relation to our adinkra symbols( traditional symbols of the Akans from Ghana) and to replace the subjects on the spade card. After that an engaging exhibition was done and even published on the website of the University of Education, Winneba https://www.uew.edu.gh/artedu/news/uew-unveils-ebenezer-mensahs-cultural-card-game-project Several dignitaries were invited to witness this history and a lot of my colleagues were also present.
