How to build a dispatch business For fun I like to do these 3 things: 1.  Rock climbing 2.  Reading 3.  Going to Concerts

@Briana Heath What a coincidence! I’m also into dropshipping, and I have a Shopify store that has been generating me more than $100K every month. I also have a main job that I’m doing alongside my business, so I definitely understand what you mean about balancing everything. Have you started making sales on your Shopify store yet? I’d love to hear how it’s going for you!

@Briana Heath I completely understand, and I’m sorry you had to close your businesses because of medical reasons. I hope things are better for you now and that you’re doing well. Thank you for asking about me it’s been going well so far. If you don’t mind, you can message me at +447473963182 so we can continue our conversation there. I’d be happy to share more about the strategy I’ve been using and guide you through it step by step.
New to the dispatch community.
Hello everyone. I am excited to be starting down this new career path. I have had a couple businesses in the past, but due to unforeseeable circumstances I had to close them. I never thought of this line of work before, but some friends always said I should try dispatch, and I finally decided to give it a try, and I am excited to see where this road leads me.

Welcome to the community! @Briana Heath It’s great to hear that you’re giving dispatching a chance, especially after having experience running businesses before. Sometimes unexpected setbacks can lead us toward opportunities we hadn’t considered before.Wishing you lots of success on this new journey! What are you hoping to achieve through dispatching are you looking to build it into a full-time career or start it as an additional source of income?

@Briana Heath That’s really good to hear! I love that you’re thinking long-term and want to build something that could eventually become something your child can take over. Creating more financial freedom for your family is a great motivation. By the way, I’m also into online business. I’ve been doing dropshipping and my Shopify store currently generates around $70K a month, while I also have a main job alongside it. It started as a side hustle for me and has grown into an additional source of income. Have you ever ventured into an online business before, or have you mainly been working a traditional 9-to-5 job?
Introducing myself to the community
Hi my name is Wade. I live in Georgetown, Texas and I plan on making $6,000 per month dispatching trucks. I want to get these 3 things from this course/community: 1. Real-world dispatcher experience — Look for people sharing actual loads, rates, lanes, negotiations, and problems they encounter. 2. Finding carriers — Learn how experienced dispatchers find legitimate owner-operators and build relationships with carriers. 3. Rate negotiation — Pay close attention to how dispatchers negotiate with brokers and shippers to improve rates without losing the load. 4. Load-board strategies — Learn how others use DAT and other load boards, especially for dry vans and Texas lanes like Dallas–San Antonio, Houston, Austin, and Laredo. 5. Networking and mentorship — Look for experienced dispatchers who are willing to answer questions, review your approach, and share what actually works—not just people trying to sell you another course. For fun, I like to do these 3 things: 1.  I love to barbecue 2.  I love to spend time with friends and family 3. Love to take long walks on beaches. —————————————————————————————————————————— Pro Tip: - Include images of yourself, a 30-90 second loom video, GIFs & polls to increase the interaction on your post. @Ashley Cooper Hey! I just joined the Dispatcher University community and saw that you’re here too. I’m new to the community and wanted to connect with a few people who are also interested in truck dispatching. How are you finding the community so far? Are you already working in dispatching, or are you just getting started?
