Signed my first Carrier!
I got my first carrier! He found me on Instagram and we had the sales call today, he signed the contract and sent it back after the call. Our onboarding call is Wednesday and he has a 40ft Hotshot. I'm super excited that this is all coming together. Now I don't feel like I'm 'starting a business' like the business is up and running really quick and im just here for the ride lol. I've only been in the paid course for a month so I know I have a lot to learn. If anyone has any experience with Hotshots, or hotshots in the Texas area, I'd love to pick your brain :)

@Clarissa Meers, I will do that! I believe I am done with the free course. I am looking to join the university and begin this company! Do you know if we have to schedule a call before we join the university?

@Clarissa Meers Thank you very much for that information! Have you signed up? Are the classes five days a week? And how long is each class?
👋 Hi, I’m Clarissa Lea!
Hi my name is Clarissa Lea Meers. I live in Louisville, KY and I plan on making $6,000-$10,000 per month dispatching trucks. I want to get these 3 things from this course/community: 1. The ins and outs of dispatching, beyond basics. 2. How to successfully execute making dispatching a generational wealth type buisness for my family present and future. 3. Gain buisness relationships that I can gain as well as give help to many people. For fun I like to do these 3 things: 1. Spend as much time with my family as possible. 2. Work on cars and trucks. Automotive mechanics. 3. Build and repair things pretty much anything but electric work that's with my hands. Just a quick question what has everyone used and had best experience with doing the university courses and app?

@Clarissa Lea, Welcome to the community! it sounds as though you do not like idle time on your hands. I too like to fiddle around with automobiles. One day when I have the time I would like to restore of 1971 anything just to have fun. Have you ever restored a vehicle?

@Clarissa Meers, that is awesome to hear! Big ups to you for teaching yourself about "a few things a man ought to know". By Laney Wilson. Do you know if we have to book a call before we join the university?
Introducing myself to the community
Hi my name is Wade. I live in Georgetown, Texas and I plan on making $6,000 per month dispatching trucks. I want to get these 3 things from this course/community: 1. Real-world dispatcher experience — Look for people sharing actual loads, rates, lanes, negotiations, and problems they encounter. 2. Finding carriers — Learn how experienced dispatchers find legitimate owner-operators and build relationships with carriers. 3. Rate negotiation — Pay close attention to how dispatchers negotiate with brokers and shippers to improve rates without losing the load. 4. Load-board strategies — Learn how others use DAT and other load boards, especially for dry vans and Texas lanes like Dallas–San Antonio, Houston, Austin, and Laredo. 5. Networking and mentorship — Look for experienced dispatchers who are willing to answer questions, review your approach, and share what actually works—not just people trying to sell you another course. For fun, I like to do these 3 things: 1.  I love to barbecue 2.  I love to spend time with friends and family 3. Love to take long walks on beaches. —————————————————————————————————————————— Pro Tip: - Include images of yourself, a 30-90 second loom video, GIFs & polls to increase the interaction on your post. @Ashley Cooper, we definitely have quite a few truckers here in Texas. As I learn about this industry, I will keep in mind to pay my knowledge forward! Look forward to networking with you as well.
MOTION BEATS PERFECTION
I learned this lesson the hard way over the last two weeks. I was obsessing over my content strategy, trying to make sure my page, messaging, and systems were perfect before I started posting. I have been rewatching the videos like clockwork every day in preparation for my launch, and then I heard Gurpreet say something in the training that finally clicked: “Motion beats perfection.” So this past weekend, I stopped overthinking and started posting. Within one day, I got my first warm outreach from a Facebook friend, scheduled a carrier call for later this week, and gained 5 new followers on my business page. Two weeks of trying to make everything perfect = 0 opportunities. One day of taking action = my first lead. That was the reminder I needed. We don't have to know everything before we start. We can learn, execute, adjust, and improve along the way. MOTION BEATS PERFECTION. What have you been overthinking instead of just starting?

@Kevin Henderson Awesome! I have been obsessing over my content and paperwork, contemplating whether I need to join the university or not. I love the concept that motion beats perfection. Somewhere along the way, I've lost confidence in my abilities. However, hearing things like this in the community gives me that confidence back! Thank you for sharing!

@Gurpreet Gill, I am 55 and have very little computer skills. You say I need a Team. How many do I need to get by? How hard is your software 'Truck AI"?
