I appreciate all of the input from all of you. A good friend of mine is a collector of creed and gave me decants of the three I was considering. After smelling and wearing each of them I decided to purchase Absolu Aventus.

I threw this on briefly yesterday when I was going to get a haircut after not wearing it for months. My barber ordered it on the spot! I decided to give it a full wear today. You can’t beat that boozy plum that comes from the top notes of plum and cognac. Have a great day brothers.

Good Morning Fragrance Family another blessed day in the Chi with the sun shining and temps giving us a little teaser before they dip later on. Still, I’ll take every bit of that warmth with gratitude. I’m especially thankful this morning after spending that quality time with family. Safe travels to my son heading back to Missouri. it’s never easy when the grandkids leave in puts me in a melancholy space. That quiet hits a little different, but those moments we get with them are priceless and carry us through. My scent of the day is Ombré Nomade by Louis Vuitton, courtesy of a gifted 10ml from a good friend. Now you all know I have a deep appreciation for Oud Rose compositions, so I went into this one with an open mind. Off the top, that oud comes in a bit rough to my nose… almost synthetic and slightly harsh for the first 30 minutes. But once it settles, it starts to smooth out and blend more into the composition, allowing the rest of the fragrance to shine. From there, it becomes a well-blended mix with that dark rose, subtle sweetness, and a woody backbone that gives it presence. It carries that familiar luxurious aura, but if I’m being honest, I’ve experienced this DNA done better in the niche space with more natural depth and refinement. This is good, no doubt… but full bottle worthy for me only if it lands in my hands the same way this decant did. Respectful 7.0 from me on this one. Make it a great day Frag Fam and hold those loved ones a little tighter when you can.

After my first wearing of Savant, I decided to test two Chris Collins samples from the set that I purchased so I could get a feeling for the house. All 3 are pretty good, but Lost In Paradise strongly leans feminine.
