Are you building an email list?
E-mail is still the biggest online converter of sales, so a list is essential. These are the top tips I've found around getting sign ups: Put a sign-up form on your website (the footer is good because it's on every page) with a REALLY good deal for signing up, not the usual 5% or 10% off one order. Setup an auto-responder to issue the voucher/deal and welcome them to the list. Send out an email at least once a week to keep the list alive and keep in touch with your customers. Don't always sell, just send news and a hello, how are you. Matt McGarry is a great resource to follow to build an email list, i.e. group of people ready to buy your products. He's on YouTube and Twitter.

Great tips, totally agree that email is still one of the best sales drivers. The point about offering a really compelling incentive for sign-ups is spot on; people are so used to seeing the same 10% discount that it barely moves the needle anymore. I also work in list and lead generation, and Iโ€™ve seen firsthand how much of a difference a strong offer and consistent follow-up make. The weekly email cadence and non-sales touches you mentioned are key for keeping engagement high. And yes, Matt McGarry puts out some fantastic content on building and nurturing lists, definitely worth following!
Your Online Presence Is Your Silent Salesman
You donโ€™t need to shout online to make noise. You just need to show up right. Hereโ€™s the truth: People donโ€™t buy from who they donโ€™t trust. And in 2025, your online presence is the first test of credibility. Your website, profile, and content either say: ๐Ÿ‘‰ โ€œThis person knows what theyโ€™re doing.โ€ or ๐Ÿ‘Ž โ€œThis person isnโ€™t serious.โ€ If you want to attract better clients, stop treating your online presence like an afterthought. Treat it like your digital storefront. Because thatโ€™s exactly what it is. Hereโ€™s what Iโ€™ve learned: โœ… Clear branding builds recognition. โœ… Consistent messaging builds trust. โœ… Polished design builds authority. Thatโ€™s the trifecta that separates amateurs from professionals. If your online presence doesnโ€™t feel like the level you want to play atโ€ฆ Itโ€™s time for an upgrade.
