Starting the May 1st, we are running a new challenge. Breaking a habit habits we know we should, but haven't yet been able to let go of. (under the ✂️ Break The Habit Challenge category) 3: Support others by commenting and showing up for them What Habits To Break: Anything that’s no longer serving you. - Substances: Intoxicants, sugar, or anything you’re using to numb, escape, or cope - Behaviors: Risky, avoidant, or self-sabotaging patterns - Self-Worth: Saying yes when you mean no, Letting boundaries be crossed, Putting yourself last I’ll be hosting some digital catch-ups throughout the challenge to support one another and talk though the urges and challenges. I will also share some resources on habit building! Who is in?

@Katrina Kaminaka I love the idea of releasing self doubt! It did keep you safe, but perhaps now it is no longer as necessary!

@Billie My That is a great goal! Can you tell me a bit more about your struggle with procrastination. I will make a video/audio track to support!
How Is Your Habit Serving You?
If you are looking to release (quit) a long held habit, it is important to recognise what that habit is doing for you. Ask yourself, what is it helping you to feel? Or perhaps not feel? The first step is awareness. Become aware of the intricacies of what you are doing and why. Then accept it. This is truth and denying it will keep you trapped in the loop you are currently stuck in. Finally take action to substitute the habit with something less harmful, more value aligned, or perhaps introspect (perhaps with therapy) to see what is at the core of the habit. Starting May 1st we are doing a breaking the habit challenge, click here to join!

How Is Your Habit Serving You?
This May, I am breaking the habit of sweet treats (to regulate)
I am finding that I am using chocolate and sweet treats as a default regulation response before I go to my other tools like meditation. When stressed I find myself mindlessly consuming for a good while before my brain kicks back on and I realise. So this may I will be breaking the habit of using sweet treats to regulate. I will still consume them, but only when I am mindfully choosing to do so, but not in response to stress. Wish me luck! Ps: you can check out the challenge here

@Tami Sunshine Awesome! Have a think about what you will like to release and share it in the community :) Hopefully we can help one another. Last night I did go to eat a sweet treat to regulate... I recognised that pull and did not stop myself, then felt guilty/icky after. Something to work on. I need a behavior/response to deploy in response I think!

#30 Live Daily Meditation - Intuitive Guidance
Today we practiced "Intuitive Guidance" followed by 10 minutes of silence. - Place your hand upon your heart space and feel the warmth. - Visualize the heart space as a ball of energy/light/flame, growing stronger and brighter with the breath. - Scan the body for a part to work with. - We assume that the body keeps the score and that emotions/sensations are messages. Approach and accept the sensations, thoughts, visions and other things that arise with compassionate curiosity and calm confidence. - Become the inner therapist/parent and allow that part to express it self. Feeling, listening, observing deeply. Asking questions to encourage it to open up. - Offer love and commit to return to this part in a future session. This practice takes time. Time for you to familiarize yourself with the proceed and time for the parts to trust that you are there and available. Take time. Be like the breath, subtle but continuous and ever returning. Come back to this practice again. As many times as you/the part need. PS: daily replays can be found here

Day 30 of the challenge✅
Anddd it's done🤯 I can't believe how fast this month went... I'm so glad I did this challenge, I'm definitely going to continue practicing mindful meditation and I'm gonna check out some other of your recordings in the classroom! It's been so amazing to have the time for myself when I do this, it's such an important habit to have! I'm excited to see if I make it in implementing it in my everyday life for the rest of my life 😅 Thank you @Zachary Phillips once more for making this challenge, it was a pleasure to participate🥳
