Hey all! Sorry for the absence. Things have been quite busy for me as of late (socializing, making sure nothing explodes at my house, etc.), so I’ve had my hands full. I wanted to give you guys a little progress update about my journey to go from being a “chud” to being a “chad” (just stupid late Gen Z/Gen Alpha slang) as I get more physically active and strengthen myself. I also am aware about the late night timing that I am posting this (insomnia is a real piece of work), so I will make this quick: For starters, I have not been using my planking board often — BUT! I have been keeping myself on my toes and moving around frequently to ensure things don’t go wrong at Casa de Gettmann. The major reasons why I sort of fell outta the habit with planking is because A.) my terrible sleep schedule, and B.) constantly being pulled in every direction while also having weaponized autism (ASD, ADHD, and Tourette’s altogether — I forget why I walk into rooms sometimes) can really disrupt my focus. But there is some good news to come out of all this! My lower back posture no longer makes it look like I’m in my 9th trimester, and my stomach has gotten a little bit flatter. I’ve also been logging my calories and watching how much I’ve been eating. Anyways, I will keep you guys posted on my journey so far! I’ve also decided to go for a simple change to my wrestling gimmick and instead go by Ivan Blackthorne rather than Ivan Richter. To end off this late night post, I’ll leave you guys with this question: How many times have you guys gone back to the drawing board for your wrestling gimmick? Bonus question: What were the ideas that didn’t stick the landing and why? Good night!

One Step at a Time
So, I’ve been using this PurePlank for about 2 days now, and I will admit that my abdomen has felt a bit sore from the constant planking. That combined with my sleep schedule not being where I want it to be yet (believe me, I am trying — my sleeping disorder doesn’t make it easy) made me a little bit hesitant to continue my journey to being in better shape one minute-long plank at a time. But I ended up giving myself the necessary kick in the rear to get out of bed and start doing my planks for the day; my goal is to have 3 minutes a day at a minimum, which I split up across the mornings, afternoons and evenings, but I found myself doing 4 minutes spread across today (two 1 minute planks in the afternoon/late morning, and two 1 minute planks in the evening/night) as a means of conditioning my body and staying consistent to my goals. As for my dietary goals today, I’ve taken some time to enjoy myself today more than I have for the last few days — call it a cheat day, but I still managed to ask my mom if she could get me some stuff from the grocery store so I can get more vegetables and protein in my diet. One of them just so happens to be the peanut butter protein granola from Trader Joe’s, and it’s definitely a top pick for me whenever we go grocery shopping. I’ll end this little post with a question for you incredible people learning under Coach Josh’s guidance so far: What are your WrestleMania plans this weekend? Do you plan on spending it with friends/family in the comfort of your own home, or are you going to Allegiant Stadium and/or Las Vegas to enjoy the sensational decadences that Sin City has to offer?

@Ozzy Sloan I honestly think it’s absolutely worth buying one for yourself if you have the funds for it. The PurePlank is remarkably much larger than I had anticipated, and it has a lot of heft to it if you’ve never lifted a planking board before (but apparently it’s a lot lighter than other planking boards). Having used this thing for about 4 days now, it’s very comfortable to use — but make sure you have enough space to plank with it. If you’re just getting into planking and have soft delicate skin (especially around your knees), use some knee pads to shield your knees.
Who's your favorite Wrestling commentator?
For years we have heard several announcers call every different match form Gorilla Monsoon to Exalibur. I began watching and listening to their calls from WCW, ECW, NWA, TNA, AEW, and WWE. But heres a question who's the best and who's your favorite?

For someone that a lot of people disliked during the PG Era, I absolutely love Michael Cole and think he’s one of the greatest commentators in the WWE. It might also have to do with the fact there isn’t a crotchety old man screaming into his headset anymore… 👀
Something I Am Quite Proud Of
So, I have family in Germany that occasionally give me money for certain holidays that are celebrated all over the world. Most recently, my uncle and my Oma (German word for grandma for the uninitiated) sent me a sum total of $125 for Easter. For several days, I had lost a lot of sleep wondering about what I’d spend it on that wasn’t a video game — until I remembered that the PurePlank existed and was exactly $125 for the planking board alongside a lifetime warranty. I knew exactly what I wanted to spend it on. After some deliberation between my mother dearest and myself, I bought one and it arrived yesterday evening. After a little bit of a scare with my German Shepherd Zeus trying to devour the box that the PurePlank came in, I managed to try it out late last night AND have done about 4.5-5 minutes total of planking today spread out across the morning, afternoon and evening — and my God, is it the best purchase I’ve made in a long time. It’s gonna be a long and arduous process to get back in better shape for me to get back in the wrestling ring, but I am taking everything one step at a time — hopefully this little story managed to give you wonderful people something to smile about, because I feel amazing after doing these planks so far!

Hi all! My name is Dylan Gettmann, and I am currently going under the gimmick name of “The Salvation Code” Ivan Richter. I’ve taken some time away from training for wrestling to get my life back on track as I adjust to the real world after graduating from high school in 2023. I am 22 years old, have autism, ADHD + Tourette’s, and I did significant training at a promotion here in my home city of Winston-Salem, NC before needing to take time off. My major goals that I am actively pursuing are to become more independent without needing to rely on my parents (whom I currently live with at this time) to provide for myself and my needs, to get in much better physical shape and start eating healthier (I’ve gotten myself a planking board and have eaten quite healthy today), and to expand my connections beyond my current scope of people. I sadly do not have many promotional pictures that I can share with you on account of my 1.5 year absence from training, but I am willing to offer all of you pictures of my pets! The German Shepherd is my dog Zeus, a big lovable doofus with a big heart and a fierce passion for protecting myself and my parents. The blind mackerel tabby is my cat Ruby, who has been my rock and my anchor during some of the roughest patches of my life (and is a great snuggle buddy). And of course, the elderly Yellow Labrador is my best friend and retired service dog Nike — he was trained and bred specifically to meet my needs that come with autism and be the best dog anyone could ever ask for.
