If you're doing cold outreach, you gotta have thicker skin than that, because rejection is part of the game, you have to accept it. However… I also understand that enough rejection will take its toll on anyone, even if you have thick skin akin to a battle-worn rhino’s 🦏 But here's the thing: you can dramatically lower your rejection rates, and keep your mental health intact with a few simple guidelines: ✅ Avoid The Obvious Signs-The guy above made it obvious he was about to pitch, and the prospect could smell the pitch coming from a mile away… 1. No fake rapport building ("How's business?")  2. Avoid cliché subject lines ("Quick question")  3. Skip the generic "Hey NAME" opener. Prospects can smell these from a mile away. Be original! ✅ Master the follow-up 80% of sales happen after you follow up, so make sure to email them at least 4 times, and try messaging them on other platforms if they’re reading your emails but aren’t responding. Don't give up after one email. Create a strategic follow-up sequence that adds value at each touch point, and across multiple platforms. Remember persistence is key. ✅ Offer Value Upfront: No one wants to be cold-pitched or even likes to be cold-pitched… just think about it, you most likely don’t have something they want or need, and you’re interrupting their day to try and sell them with that thing they don’t want or need. So lead with something they actually care about. Make them think, "Huh, this might be worth my time." Look, rejection is part of the game. But with these tips, you'll be hearing "yes" a lot more often.
