Let's assume I'd release a Cubase Trailer Music Template ...
Hey guys, I just want your input. Let's assume I would release a Trailer Music template in Cubase with the most necessary instruments set up, routing, internal plugins and markers/orientation points on the general trailer music formula. What Kontakt version would you like to see that in? Kontakt 7 or 8? Also I would try to use the most used or most owned sample libraries at their latest version. What do you think?

Alex please !!! You owe this one to us...please make a basic template that you would use ....no need to load any libraries ....just instrument names ...we can then copy and enlarge it to suit whatever libraries we have ! Just to get the sample libraries up and running .... I don't remember how many countless times I have set up each of the libraries and then lost the creative flow!!!

A query regarding best way to quantize
@Alex Pfeffer ..Alex, I had a query ... What is the best way to quantize or determine the timing of negative track delays on tracks ?? Like often when we put in midi through playing it feels like either not falling or going beyond the grid ..is there any cubase shortcut or hotkey that you have built that can move the start of notes before the grid just a wee bit and then snap to grid ?? Spitfire samples are notorious, especially with their baked in reverbs and long tails !! Also there are a few libraries which donot mention their latencies ... Is there a best way to determine how to calculate their latencies for longs and shorts and let's say drum hits ?? Is it better to bounce to audio first and then adjust or set it right in the beginning Want to hear your thoughts on this...I really struggle with getting the timing right ...especially with spiccato/staccato..and then layering a marcato over it ....that just saps off all the creative flow.. Want to hear your thoughts on it ... And any suggestions u might have ?? Maybe an awesome video :) 😁
What's your favorite DAW?
Hey everyone, here is a little action post I want to initiate: I am aware that a DAW is always a matter of taste. I am also aware that a DAW is only as good as the composer and in the end it really doesn't matter because the outcome is what really counts. Howeverrrrrrrrr .... 1. What is your favorite DAW/What is the DAW you are using? 2. Briefly explain why you like it or what features you like it for? Go! :)

Cubase. Feels intuitive. The mixer is awesome . The insert and send is absolutely as Alex said ..feels like home. The audio processing signal chain feels so simple and clear having been an old time Synth patch hobbyist..and the midi editing is fantastic !! Latency handling and CPU usage is fantastic along with VST stability. Also find it works extremely stable with VE Pro and once you have the system running like that, you can't go back ! Reaper also comes in close when my 13 year old laptop jumps out of the closet begging to be used for impromptu recordings !! ;)
