Sauna Skool Summer Reading
I had the honor of presenting at Finn Fest last week with my good friend from Sauna Times Glenn Auerbach as well as the GOAT himself, Mikkel Aaland, whose book Sweat inspired my approach to thermic bathing and career. We geeked out on all things sauna and contrast therapy and I left the conference buzzing with content ideas for Sauna Skool. What books/movies are on your summer A-list for Sauna Skool nerds?

I was at the FinnFest Sauna Seminar and saw your talk, @John Pederson. It was great -- I loved hearing your story! I had to miss Mikkel's so I would love it if you could get a recording. Or even better, have him join one of our Sauna Skool sessions!

Hey there! I'm Dori from Saint Paul, MN. You can find me moving between my friend's backyard sauna and various public saunas around the Twin Cities. I'm a recovering startup founder who is now helping a friend launch her 100% merino wool sauna apparel brand called Saunamekko. For my next chapter, I'm in the planning stages of a sauna-centric wellness/nature retreat (location is TBD but considering in the mountains outside of Asheville, NC). It's been TWO DAYS since my last sauna and I'm in need of some heat! Here's me recently at Portal in Mpls. Looking forward to diving into all things sauna with you all!

@John Pederson Soooooo dreamy! The woodfired + giant cold plunge is heavenly. You know what I love--the whole place smells so good! I get hints of ginger in their incense and now everytime I smell ginger I think of Portal -- now that's some good marketing! I've been going as much as possible to take advantage of the spacious benches before it gets packed once the temperatures drop. I just wish they were over here in St. Paul! It's a bit of a hike for me but it's been worth it. Oh, and you definitely need to get a pair of Saunamekko shorts. And the pants are a really good look on men for post-sauna lounging. Let me see about a Sauna School Special!
