Thanks , I found it.
Removing stubborn blank from the mould
This was meant to be a quick video showing how to remove a blank from the mould using compressed air. In most cases, it pops out easily but this one was a bit more stubborn. That actually worked out well, as it gave me the chance to show how I troubleshoot when things don’t go to plan. In this instance, the issue was caused by using hot glue at the base of the wood when placing it into the mould. The bond was simply too strong for the compressed air alone to separate it from the plastic when applied from the top.

Do you use mold release spray?

I use Stoner Urethane Release since I use so much Alumilite Clear Slow. I haven't used it on epoxy Deep Pour yet.

I didn’t count probably 5 or so. It’s the first lacquer in over a year so I erred on the light coats. I was leery of doing the asym with the epoxy but it behaved very similar to the burl during the manual blending of the top and bottom. I literally turned a cylinder of the burl then used tight fitting pipe for the form. That way I really didn’t use much epoxy for the asym piece. The other form used three times as much epoxy.

I've been turning 10 years now selling in SW USA. I do resin cactus handles for kitchen tools and want to expand into epoxy wood hybrids.
