Looks like the two day workshop format is a much needed development
It seems there is some significant interest in doing two day workshops! I am curious what kinds of things are you all interested in doing in some of these workshops? Please comment below if there is something that you really want to see offered here in the future. I would love to hear from you. All the best, Brendan

Rereading it, it seems like I am not as open as I would like to be for the possibility of direct insight. :D

@Viktor Balogh Thank you! I would really like to make an effort to verify the possibility of a direct insight in a two day workshop then! :)

[10:06] Just concepts, but it might be interesting: Regarding the translation issue with Kant: Sometimes translating his concepts into English is not straightforward. For example, the well-known sentence “Enlightenment is man’s emergence from his self-incurred immaturity”, which Peter quotes in 12:11 of "Pursuing consciousness" for example is a rendering of the German term "Aufklärung". In English “Enlightenment” can suggest direct insight, but Kant’s point is about rational independence and the courage to use one’s own reason. Another concept that often creates difficulties is the thing in itself (Ding an sich). Kant argues that the thing in itself cannot be directly known, which you would probably disagree with as far as I understood your work.
THINKING/WORRYING ABOUT THE FUTURE
I missed the first 15 minutes of the last session. Perhaps I didn't hear some important points. Is thinking/worrying about the future different from planning ahead/ being aware or even somewhat worried about certain imaginary but likely situations and being prepared for them? Gazelles are happily grazing in plain view of a lion pride. Cute rabbits are munching on leaves and grass. Are they happy and complete? They probably are...until they are killed and eaten.

Have you read Peters new book: Ending unnecessary suffering already? Chapter 5 might answer your question. The distinction between conceptual action and conceptual activity seems to be helpful in regard to your question. :)
Feedback in contemplation?
I was rereading Pursuing Consciousness yesterday. In the book, Peter talks about the importance of feedback. That made me wonder: Is there some kind of feedback I can rely on to see whether I am on the right track in my contemplation? For example, if I am working with the question “Who am I?”, then thoughts and bodily sensations appear more like distractions than guidance in the search for truth, since they are not really “me,” right? It feels as though the only feedback I receive is simply the realization that I still don't know who I am. Can anyone help? :)

@Dimitar Biserov Thank you! I listened to the podcast already. As far as I understood Peter was talking about feedback in body work and martial arts and not in regards to contemplation, right? :)

@Brendan Lea Hi Brendan, thank you for your detailed explanation and the words of encouragement. I really appreciate that you took the time to respond so thoughtfully. Thanks as well for offering a call. I’d like to first make an effort to apply the instructions you gave before taking more of your time. If I feel stuck at some point, I’ll gladly take you up on your generous offer. Kind regards, Dominique :)
Completion
