You can set up a fully functional trial of zzTakeoff using this link https://www.zztakeoff.com/?p=23761 when it expires it becomes a free plan viewer. If you're using planswift or bluebeam you can import your projects to zz for free. You can also import planswift templates and ost conditions.

I can make you admin of the workspace if you would like so you can do takeoff and invite others as well. The takeoff data here is for demo, it's dialed into this plan. You can modify the data and you're welcome to copy or share the wall assemblies just check them for accuracy. Let me know if you have any questions. Below is a link the the blank plans with some sample assemblies loaded. Click the green dot next the the assembly name to launch the assembly. Wood framing estimating
Hi Ren and others I just need framing ..thanks. Main restructure, house, deck .The roof trusses are build by the manufacturer, also they deliver trusses to place, crane them up and framers will tied and put in place, all other wood structure are build in place, foundation is handled by concrete contractor, I care all wood above foundation which is the basement area.

I think Tim has some templates, these are pretty decent but haven't been tested. What Estimating Software Do You Actually Need?
So (please prove me wrong), all estimating software is fundamentally built around 3 core features: 1. Take-off tools. Every business needs one of these, the two main ones are planswift and Bluebeam. I love Bluebeam but a lot of people hate it. Its just he one I'm used to 2. Managing cost/productivity/quantity databases- ie storing labor, plant, material, subcontractor rates 3. Preparing prices - combining quantities with rates etc. For most contractors, all you need is a quantity take off tool and excel. There are trade specific tools, but they often just have more data and are tailored towards trade specific workflows And AI just adds intelligence to this process. Ie can convert bid documents into requirements, or automatically extract quantities from drawings I did a breakdown in this video. If you like + comment it helps the algorithm!
