August Starts for wins
Summer only has a few weeks left. When @Eric Hempstock joined this group and got back in the gym it was in August. He was soon down three belt notches. Here's the part most people would miss — the scale hasn't moved much. Muscle's coming back on as fast as the fat's coming off, so the number on the scale is lying to him. His belt isn't. This is exactly why we don't obsess over the scale in here. Weight is one data point. It's not the truth. If you've been staring at a stubborn number and thinking nothing's working, check your belt, check your clothes, check the mirror before you check the scale. Who else has a "the scale lied to me" win sitting in the comments?

When using an in body scale it gives you a detailed report. I was actually up 2lbs for om a couple of weeks ago from 204.7 to 206.8. My Dr. couldn't really say anything as my muscle mass was up almost 2lbs and my body fat was down .5lbs. With using a detailed report scale it tells you exactly if what you’re doing is working.

1st week
I’ve been at it for awhile (the losing weight part) I found I was really slowing down so I got my ass to the gym and started walking again. It’s only been a few days already lost my 2lbs, I knew I needed to walk, I do better when I have an accountability program…great to be here.

How To Get Support
Hey everyone!! This quick (but important) post on how to get support & help. After watching the lessons and doing a quick scan of the posts in the community - you may still have questions you need help with. That is what we are here to support you with. As your community manager I'm going to be looking out for your questions, I'm very well-versed in all the topics I'm teaching here. I will be able to do 2 things: 1) Direct you to the answer you're searching for 2) Or make sure the right expert sees your post/comment and provides a response For us to effectively support & help you - we all need to be able to see the conversation. So rather than sending a DM to one of the team, please post in the group under the relevant category that relates to your question or questions. Here are the categories we have to select: 📍General Discussion 📍Nutrition 📍Workouts If your question doesn't fit under any of these you can use the General Discussion. Following this system becomes valuable for you over time. Not only will you get your questions answered efficiently, but as more and more members ask questions - it's going to be a goldmine of answers. This is why I love Skool communities 💙 We all learn together. Your question is important, but is also something that other people are probably experiencing but may have been too unsure to ask. If you send a DM it's likely going to get lost under the mountain of DMs and spam we get every day. On the other hand, we all make a regular point of checking in on the community posts to make sure everyone is looked after 🤝 So what are the weekly Q&A calls for? Programming, feedback, brainstorming, meal ideas & technique corrections Congrats on making it to the end - I know it was a long post.

Thanks for letting me join. Basically got tired of being overweight. I am also getting LTKR the result of a work injury next week. I really don’t want to carry the extra weight around on my new knee.
