Handstand on paralettes
Has anyone tried handstand on paralettes? If so would you recommend the wooden ones that are closer to the ground to start with? I’m thinking I might need to start practising using them in the meantime whilst I work on finger rehab as it might be a while before it’s ready for flat palms on the ground, particularly with the finger control require for handstand.

@Val Mercier its scarier right? But my first longer hold was on handles. I need to give them a go again

@Zara Doering the little wooden ones. I probably need to add some non slip grip on the bottom or just use them on a non slip floor.. I had a wall behind me to start else I couldn't make my brain commit to kicking up high enough. I've used them with the mattress behind too, but not for a while
Toe to bar and hangs
Gym day, but we always squeeze in a couple of calisthenics moves.

Back and shoulder mobility and strength.
I was able to balance in forearm headstand. I still find the feel of the arm position really strange. I tried to lift vertically and not have so much weight pushing down on my head. I found my back muscles really having to work bringing my knees back to a tuck position. I have been practicing bridge with the support of the stability ball whilst pushing through my shoulders. I managed to push up into the bridge. Not pretty but I got up and worked on my shoulders without the aid of the stability ball.

Wheel pose and any back bend is my nemesis. Good work

Reminded me my wheel isn't going to get better without practice.
Pistol challenge accepted!
I did @Karyn Ainsworth challenge, well only on one side😅 This is a good time to talk about consistency cause work last night was draining so I came home tired, hungry and not wanting to do anything but i kept my habit of working out after work. I knew a big leg day would be too much so I modified and did fun stuff instead! I still moved, not as much but I got a little workout: the challenge, hip mobility, pancake practice, chest to wall handstand and I'll go for my walk later☀️

I'm so glad you tried it. I have a whole host of these stored away. From "not a chance" to "I don't think this should even count as a challenge"

@Val Mercier I'll keep pulling one out once a week to try.

Well done. It's such a good feeling to hold it steady! The bruised arms do get better., but I notice if I haven't been practicing crow or when I try new variations. The rubbed arms feel better as you get better at squeezing your knees in together so there's less sliding/friction. And the knees feel least pointy when the feet are curled up high. So as you get more confidence you will tuck them and have a nice flat knee to rest in your arms.
