My First 2k month...in month 4
Hi everyone. So I just wanted to pop on here at the start of October and share my experience. I joined Etsy on May 28th and uploaded my very first print June 3rd. June 17th I had my first sale. I followed the Printshrimp videos to the letter and haven't deviated from it at all. I have been documenting this on my tiktik (@Sidehustlemichael) and have between 450-500 prints uploaded currently. Month by month it has increased and in September I made just over £2000 in profit. PROFIT, not revenue. I spend between 20-30 hours a month on this. If you are on TikTok come over and follow and if not, feel free to ask any questions here, but to be honest, just trust in the process. (I won't be sharing my Etsy store before anyone asks!)

Hi Michael, I'm here because I saw your tik tok and wanted in! Im a month in with just over 100 listing's but zero sales, I'm only just starting to see a handful of views and visitors each day. I was just wondering, do you research what to put on your posters or do you just keep churning all sorts out in the hope that it will catch someone's eye? I've recently realised my first prints, at least 30, arnt very good but I guess we've all got to start somewhere. I think they're getting better as I go on. I started off just making pretty much anything I fancied but now I'm wondering if I should be doing a bit more research and wondered what your doing?
Etsy Stats Dashboard
Hi everyone! It’s been a week since I opened my shop and I’m just about to post my 50th listing. I keep getting notifications that my listings are being favourited but my views and visits today say 0.. is this a normal lag or is the app just bugging?

I've had the same nonsense stats for the past month. It's annoying isn't it, I'm constantly checking wondering if anyone's looked. After about a month and 100 listing's I started to notice I was getting a handful of views and visits each day but I would find them going up and down through the day. I usually check back the next day and then it seems to be the final answer. If you've got 50 up in a week your doing good, keep doing what your doing and I'm sure you'll start seeing views increase 👍🏼

@Deb N yeah it's mad, but if you've noticed, views update in real time but visits only update a few times a day so they will catch up later so I usually look at about midnight and expect to see the most accurate reading but I've just looked now at yesterday's and it's changed again 😂 Don't even ask what the difference between views and visits are because that confuses me too ha ha. It's just nice to see a few numbers on there
White border
Hi all. I potentially have my first buyer! They have messaged me saying they don’t like the white border shown in one of the mock-ups. What way is the poster printed with the frame? is the white bit a frame mount or something? What is best reply to the customer? Thanks.

@Gareth Fullerton just reading this post as I was looking for a similar answer. All my mockups show a mount but I'm thinking of writing into the description that the mount is for illustration purposes only and does not come with one. Just thinking if I sold a framed print and the customer expects it it's a lot of money to refund so just trying to minimise refunds / unhappy customers
Refund request
I’ve received my first complaint after 6 months of my shop being open. They have requested a refund and are complaining about the use of AI , so they are saying it wasn’t disclosed in the listing which it must be in Etsy. They want to return the print and are asking for a full refund. Unfortunately it’s a framed print so quite a big hit. What would you suggest. Thanks

Could you offer a partial refund and apologise for the confusion. Then add it into your listing description going forward.
Satin vs Matt - framed prints now matte
Just sharing this as it was quite a big update for me and I thought it might be useful for others who hadn’t spotted it yet. I’ve always ordered satin for all of my prints, but PrintShrimp have confirmed that all framed prints are now being sent matte. Apparently both gloss and satin can cause double glare once they’re behind the perspex, so after some customer feedback and reviewing samples from their print partners, they’ve decided matte is the better option for framed artwork. Unframed prints can still be satin — this change is specifically for framed prints. Worth knowing if, like me, you’ve been building your listings and product information around satin!

Thanks for this. For anyone who doesn't know, you can bulk edit descriptions in etsy!
