I'll have me a burgundy suit custom made sometime, a frock coat suit.
Coat material
Hey everyone is polyamide ok? I know it's not a natural fiber but is 10-20% polyamide when the rest is wool or wool and cashmere a good fabric for wool coats?

I would absolutely not recommend it. Wool or other natural materials 100%.
Functional Rugged Clothing: A testament...
In my day to day life in the last frontier of Alaska I am confronted with environments and conditions not faced by the avarage man in this group. From icy conditions with deep snow, mountainous terrain, and even the welding shop where I spend most of my day, I need clothing that is ready be protective more than stylish. The accessories I require in day-to-day life are also vastly different than the avarage man. For isntance when going around on a hike or even a brisk walk in my area it is generally considered a good practice to carry a firearm, not for defense agsisnt muggers or vagabonds, but bears and moose pose a significant danger! But why can't I have both? Clothing that is stylish but yet suited for rugged life I live? Looking at antiquity I see that even the laborers in the early 20th century would be considered stylish by the modern sense. Many wearing collard shirts, vests, and different hats even when working dirty jobs as iron workers or bricklayers. Many men would carry a timepiece of some sort to keep track of the day. The problem is that those kinds of clothes back then were as common as a t-shirt and jeans now-days. I think my only option is thrift stores. The problem I run into when it comes to thrifting is that I am quite a tall fellow (6'5") so most things are far too short. That leaves tailor made or commercially avalible options but those are often times far to expensive to be used in rugged terrain such as hunting and such. What are your thoughts gents? The first pic is my return from a hunting trip earlier this week!

Custom tailor-made is the best way to go. It's definitely worth the investment. After having experimented with thrifted/second-hand clothing for the past couple of years, which thankfully fit my body type a bit better than the things you probably find, I have learned what kinds of clothing I like to wear. However, they still don't fit me quite perfectly, and aren't 100% my ideal style. I have now realized that all the money I spent on various suits and clothes in the past year, if saved up, could have absolutely payed for one or two brand-new perfectly-fitting high-quality suits that are my ideal styles. The way Victorians did it back in the day, which you mentioned, is that they didn't buy a dozen pairs of trousers the same way we now buy a dozen pairs of jeans, they bough 2 or 3 fairly expensive very-well fitting suits made of incredibly durable materials, and only wore those few outfits for that year, until they bought their next couple suits next year. Then those few suits from the last year become throwaway/work garments, and then the next year they became rags or handmedowns. This is how I plan to purchase my clothing, as in, I plan not to buy any more suits for the next year, and I will only have one or two custom ones made to be used often.
There is no finish line.
As we all are progressing through this style journey from dad style (me) to smart casual to refined gentleman, we all need to remember that the journey does not end. There is no finish line. This is a marathon towards becoming the man we were all meant to be and to express ourselves through our style. Be proud of ever step you have taken and look forward with patient anticipation for those steps you will be taking. We are all winners in this journey.

To me, there is a finish line. I am already halfway there, because I have defined the essence of the style I enjoy wearing. Now all I need to do is empty all the things I don't wear from my closet, and replace them with the things I truly like to wear. After that there is simply the task of maintaining and replenishing those pieces of clothing that I love the most, as opposed to having to experiment for the purpose of learning what I like. The same easy purchases over and over. That knowledge of what I truly like is my finish line.
High waisted trousers
Hi guys! Recently I have seen a lot of people online talking about high waisted trousers, seems like they are getting back in fashion. I like this trend and I wanted to get a pair myself, but I can't find them anywhere. I went to all stores in my local shopping mall, looked online and nothing. Do you know where I can get a pair of high waisted trousers? I am from Poland btw, so I'm looking for brands that are in the European market, or at least ship to Europe, but I'll appreciate all suggestions. P.S. what do you think of this trend?

High-waisted trousers are great. For brand-new, I'd recommend Thomas Farthing, since they also sell whole suits and waistcoats with high rise trousers if you really want. Vintage high-rise trousers are also great. If you want something custom mtm or bespoke, I'd *highly* recommend AskOkey, they recently released a great Made-To-Measure program.
