New pocket square
Funny how I was just thinking the other day about how I do not own a pocket square. I recently upgraded to the new membership, and Antonio sent me this new pocket square and coin as a thank you. Thank you Antonio for the awesome new pocket square, it is the first to my collection.

What a day!
Yesterday was St Nicklaus day. Since my son was a little boy the doorbell has rung and the wooden shoes he put out were filled with candy etc-every year- even when he was in college his car mysteriously had candy in shoes or boots. Even the past couple of years at his and his wife’s house 30 minutes away, St Nick knows the way. We are big St. Nick fans in this household. The real St Nicklaus (or Nickolas if you prefer) is fascinating. Yesterday my wife and I and drove to my son and daughter in laws’ home in a different sleigh. St Nick out did himself putting a key in the wooden shoe to a 2024 Tacoma with only 18k miles! My daughter in law conspired, with and was “helped by St Nick ” to pull one over on him. Her parents came and after the surprise we helped the kids with their leaves. My first OOTD was my Filson wool hat, my Filson Fieldcoat, Orvis fleece lined khakis, Orvis Gloves, red long sleeve polo, Fermanagh Co. tartan scarf. After the tasks my son’s in laws and we all went to the German Chriskindle market then on to my favorite Irish pub in Tulsa- after that Anita and I rushed home to change. St Nicklaus was the anniversary for my best buddy Tim’s Wedding anniversary. His son Watson chose to celebrate that day for his wedding party. Having lost both his father and grandmother in the same day a month ago and his mother only a year earlier it was a very very special get together. He has been my son’s best friend since they were three and the three bands that played (not including mine) had 16 people with whom together I’ve performed. Night time OOTD was my 1997 Royal blue MTM, a CT white w blue stipe shirt, a two bar bow tie, a Robert Talbot silk waist coat, MacQuarrie tartan kilt, wool cable knit green hose w/ red flashes, AE shell cordovan British tan brogues, Dobbs wool hat, custom leather sporran. 1/3 of crowd in cowboy hats; 1/3 in velvet dresses or suits; 1/3 in kilts. My Buddy Tim would have been very proud. Happy St Nicklaus days brothers (and community sisters)

Clothes Valet
A few weeks ago I asked for any feedback people had on clothes valets (a place to stage your outfit for the next day). A few had some great pieces but many noted having no experience. Per their request, here is my feedback on the valet I purchased on Black Friday via Amazon from Proman Products. Great color, sturdy design easy to assemble. The top sections with slots and drawers was what set this apart from other options. It has a basic electrical extension cord to charge a phone (etc), but I will likely remove this as all of the area are too small to hold a large smartphone. I like the wood at the base for shoes as it forces me to check the condition of my shoes the night before. The shapes hanger in the back is perfectly size for my should sizing in my tailored jackets. The ere is nearly space for everything with one major omission: the dress shirt. The hooks underneath are too low to the ground so I have taken to hanging the shirt off of the top of the suit hanger, which forebodes of scratching the nice wood finish on the hanger. I give this a 4 out of 5 stars.

What about placing your socks over the suit hanger, and then resting the shirt hanger on the socks for padding? This will allow you to see the socks for visual conformity with the outfit while protecting the wood — so dual purpose. Cheers, 🥂

@Dr. Jason Cole oh, that’s great! Teamwork makes the dream work 😀 I’m very glad the suggestion sparked a solution for you. Cheers, 🥂
