Getting Up at Night to Pee – Normal or Something to Adjust?
Hi everyone, I wanted to get your thoughts on nighttime urination. Lately, I’ve been getting up once (sometimes twice) at night to pee, which didn’t really happen before. At the same time, I’m also much more hydrated now, especially because eating fruits and vegetables contains a lot of water. I’ve heard two different perspectives on this. One is that if we urinate around 8–12 times a day on average, then statistically it makes sense that nighttime would sometimes be included—especially if we’re going every 2–2.5 hours. The other perspective is about sleep cycles: apparently, we don’t wake up because we need to pee, but rather we become aware of the need to pee when we’re already in a lighter sleep phase. So in that sense, it may not be as disruptive as it sounds. I’m curious how you experience this. Is it normal or “okay” for you to get up once or twice per night? Or do you actively try to avoid it, for example by eating earlier or adjusting fluid intake in the evening? How do you personally handle this? Looking forward to hearing your experiences.

I wonder about this too. I consistently have to get up to pee at least 2 usually 3 or 4 times every night. I'm used to it and use a bottle so I don't have to leave my room. I don't know if it's something to be concerned about or not.
Drinking hot tea
I've been thinking of trying to drink some hot tea that may help with my digestion but before I do I wanted to ask the community what are the dangers?

Hi Derek, during this time of year I usually drink hot water, especially first thing in the morning. I used to think it was unappealing to drink hot plain water but I actually find it quite enjoyable now.
Which fruits do you enjoy in the autumn time?
I can’t wait for persimmon season, just the thought makes my mouth water😆 I live in the UK, so grapes and bananas are always a staple year round. How about you, what are your go to fruits this time of year?

@Dillon Olias I've only been to the north of Spain, San Sebastian, Bilbao and Galicia. I hear really good things about the south coast and am also planning to head over there soon!

@Ela Harrison I remember one November I spent in Palo Alto and I had found all the spots to forage persimmons...they were definitely some of the best I've ever had! I believe it's an actual treatment that they do to the Spanish persimmons that are exported...I'm still not clear what it is exactly...would like to learn more about it. Russet apples are indeed the best! I used to eat them when I lived in Canada.

Asking for your advice and what you do about tooth brushing. Is baking soda okay to use? I know you don't have to use anything but I kind of like the idea of the possible whitening aspect of baking soda (or is that a myth)? One of my friends uses baking soda mixed with coconut oil. what do you think of that? I tried it. it's kind of weird and slimy in my mouth. thanks in advance for your input.

Bone Problems
Hi friends, I am really struggling right now. A few days ago I bruised my ribs for the 3rd time in the past year. I'm concerned because all I was doing was trying to open a stiff door in a way that was putting some pressure on my rib area. That injury has prevented me from doing most of my calisthenics routine that I am trying to build up to increase my bone density. Then this morning I woke up with a throbbing foot just out of the blue. The symptoms seem to be consistent with a stress fracture and I cannot walk at all. To give some honest background info, I am 31 yrs old and have struggled with anorexia for the last 18 years and have been consistently underweight for that entire time. I had a bone scan done about 6 years ago which showed that I had pre-osteoporosis in most areas of my body. I typically walk around 2 hours a day at a very fast pace in addition to my calisthenics and manual labor/gardening a few hours each day, and when I am unable to do this I have a really hard time eating and intentionally decrease my calorie intake as I still fear gaining weight and being sedentary. I also hardly ever allow myself to sit and rest which I'm wondering if that has contributed to my foot injury. I realize that eating disorders are a tricky condition to understand if you don't have experience with it but I'm hoping someone here might be able to give me some words of wisdom. Thanks, Dareios
