July 5th reminds us there is still much work to be done.
On July 5, 1852, Frederick Douglass gave a keynote address at an Independence Day celebration and asked, “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” Douglass was a powerful orator, often traveling six months out of the year to give lectures on abolition. His speech, given at an event commemorating the signing of the Declaration of Independence, was held at Corinthian Hall in Rochester, New York. It was a scathing speech in which Douglass stated, “This Fourth of July is yours, not mine, You may rejoice, I must mourn.” https://nmaahc.si.edu/explore/stories/nations-story-what-slave-fourth-july What is the 4th of July to a group of white supremacists? https://youtube.com/shorts/tZS-8SgGv-E?si=cYKlwj6QX3VYZvV5

@Texas Troupe Oh, wow, I didn't see that earlier. That is unfortunate in an anti-social contract sort of way. *shakes cane at cloud*

The Legitimate National Football Team of IRAN
This is the original National Football Team of IRAN under the PAHLAVI DYNASTY when it was truly the National Football Team of the Homeland and not a tool of the Islamic Occupiers Here is the actual legitimate official logo's of the National Football Team of Iran and the Football Federation of Iran alongside the group photos of the various squads of the National Football Team of Iran throughout the decades from it's founding in 1920 until the unfortunate catastrophy incident of 1979 The Iranian National Football Team experienced its Golden Age under the Pahlavi Dynasty and the Imperial Government of that time. During this period, led by coaches such as Heshmat Mohajerani, Iran won the AFC Asian Cup three consecutive times—in 1968, 1972, and 1976—and qualified for the FIFA World Cup for the first time in 1978. Iranian National Football Team (Iranian Translation: تیم ملی فوتبال ایران, Tim-e Melli-e Futbāll-e Irān) under the PAHLAVI DYNASTY and it's Imperial Government of Iran was the legitimate National Football Team of IRAN. Under the Pahlavi Dynasty, the governing body for the sport was called the Football Federation of Iran. It was originally formed in 1921 as the Association for the Promotion and Progress of Football (with Reza Shah serving as its honorary patron) before it officially joined FIFA in 1945 and eventually became the modern federation. In continuation, we examine the most significant achievements of Iranian football during that era Three consecutive Asian Championships: National Football Team of Iran is the only team in Asia to have lifted the AFC Asian Cup trophy three consecutive times (1968, 1972, and 1976). Iran achieved this feat in 1976 with a 1–0 victory over Kuwait at Aryamehr Stadium secured by a solitary goal from Ali Parvin. 🏆 The Final Score(s) of the three Asian Cup Titles won by Iran 1968: 🦁 Iran 2 - 1 Israel 🇮🇱 1972: 🦁 Iran 2 - 1 Korea 🇰🇷 1976: 🦁 Iran 1 - 0 Kuwait 🇰🇼 Qualifying for the 1978 FIFA World Cup in Argentina:

I've always admired the unique sense of Iranian graphic design.

Fascism, Nazism, communism, and socialism
“Fascism, Nazism, communism, and socialism are only superficial variations of the same monstrous theme: collectivism.” - Ayn Rand - https://x.com/xestadominimo/status/2072439513654174159?s=46&t=gT6uLhaVod8uwzT4p6povA

How would Ms. Rand feel about a Kibbutz, or a co-operative farmer's market, or public libraries? This seems waaaay over the top reductionist to me, which is why I could never get more than a few dozen pages into any of her books.
