Lebanese Sunni scholar Sheikh Hassan Moraib had a heated interview with Karam Halloum in a June 21, 2026 episode of his podcast. He said that Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is a criminal, murderer, and bloodshedder who has killed Sunnis in Syria, Yemen, and Iraq. Shouting at Halloum, he said: “And you tell me he is a martyr?!” He added that he has the right to seek revenge against Khamenei and all his followers. He agreed with Halloum, who said that Sunnis in Lebanon are “all talk” and no action. When Halloum argued that Hizbullah had been fighting ISIS and other takfiri extremists in Syria, Moraib responded that Hizbullah had killed more women and children than Israel had killed in Gaza.
