A bittersweet goodbye
Hey Friends, in an effort to streamline my life, I am making some hard decisions. One of those is to close The Savvy Savor Collective community. I have recently started a new publication on Substack and am focusing my energies there moving forward. There I'm sharing more of my faith and the journey to simplify life and obedience. I will still have the Youtube channel to support my posts, so if you are interested and in the 'neighborhood', I'd love to have you drop by The Savvy Savor or https://www.youtube.com/@TheSavvySavor Thank you for the support you've shown me here. I wish you all the best and especially those of you who are community owners as well. I'll still be visiting, I just definitely won't be 🔥here. Blessings! Hope

@Hope Stephens honestly one thing that slows me down is keeping my kitchen, clean to be video worthy . Lol
Rennet made me do it
I shared on Substack yesterday about my digest and frustration with Big Food and fake rennet that is used to make most of our cheeses found in U.S. markets today. I have started digging into making cheese at home. So far, I've found simple recipes for cream cheese and chèvre, both of which I am very eager to try. Does any else make their own cheese? or want to learn?

30 Days of Dupes
Eating out, fast food and junk food for many of us are a huge blow to the checkbook. So, for the month of January I am planning to focus the whole month on dupe recipes of our favorite restaurants and healthy at home versions of some favorite snack foods. What are some restaurant favs that are a temptations for you?

Yours will be so much healthier and tasty.
Still feasting or chilling?
I'm not sure about you guys but this has been a long week for me. I am so thankful for the celebrations, the family and friends, and all the good food. But I am also ready for some lighter meals and a 'long winter's nap'. How about you?

Boxing Day
Not that Boxing Day is something that we celebrate in the States, I am a bit curious about it. My understanding is that it's a day of sort of casting off the extras of Christmas Day and sharing it with those who need it (or want it). In some ways, I think we actually do that in our home...to some degree. By evening, I found we were already putting away and giving away some gifts that didn't actually serve us currently. I found myself looking into my refrigerator early this morning and thinking, "Oh, wow. I so need a reset." Time to clear out old, clean out the mess and start fresh. I'm not doing it yet, but thinking about. And the rest extends far beyond the refrigerator. How about you? What thoughts are going through your head this Boxing Day?

@Hope Stephens our latest purging was triggered by the unexpected flood from our water heater busting. So we had to clear out a packed closet. The silver lining to the flood
