Company Set Up
👋🏻 Working my way through the lessons. When setting up the company, did you all use your personal address? Was going through the process on Tide (very simple btw) but stopped at address, it says they can offer one for a fee - I remember when I had a company before I used my accountant address, also have you set up all 3 companies or just the trading one for now? If all 3 how do you link them all in the description James mentions, is there a specific way to set them up (does the holding company own the shares of the other two) or is that an accountant task? What have you guys done?

@Carlos Ibbotson thank you, don't really want to use my personal address will need to speak with accountant to see there fees for using there's and compare against tide fees. For business banking, Monzo and Mettle also look good.

Introduction
Hello everyone 👋😊 I’m Gail, born and bred in Stoke-on-Trent 🏺 (home of the pot banks!) I find property deals for investors through my own company, PropEngine Ltd 🏡🔑 Before property I had my own marketing business, so websites, branding and social media are my thing too 💻📱 I’ve joined to get my deals in front of more investors and to team up with lovely people all over the country 🇬🇧🤝 I’m all set up and sourcing round Stoke, and happy to work other areas remotely. If you fancy co-sourcing, or you just want a natter about property, give me a shout 💬😁 Can’t wait to get stuck in with you all 🚀

@Gail Edwards another fellow Stokie - good to see you here 👋🏻
The lessons have begun…
Hi guys, Lesson 1 is ready. It’s in your classroom in the deal sourcing section. Every lesson is accompanied with a PDF guide to basically tell you what to do next and when to do it. What's coming next: Friday, Lesson 2. Setting up your limited company properly. SIC codes, holding companies, Ltd vs sole trader, and the tax side explained simply. Monday, Lesson 3. Getting compliant. AML, redress scheme, ICO, insurance, and the right documents in place, so you can start listing deals. For now, enjoy Lesson 1. Got a question? Post it in the community as its own post. We're building these lessons from your questions, and yours could be in the next one. James

Great first lesson, loving the bite sized element, will the company set up lesson include not using personal address?
Hey 👋🏻
Hey everyone, The live this morning was great!! So good to be here, albeit a little nervous and a lot of doubt in myself, hoping this place can make successful deal sourcers out of all of us and and allow us to build some great businesses giving us all the life we desire. I'm based in Staffordshire & Cheshire, have one BTL, quite a long history in property with BTL, R2R HMO's, Lease Options and certain courses/mentorships - failed a lot, cost me a lot, trusted the wrong mentors, almost joined James so many times but always felt that I needed a more 1-2-1 approach plus a lot of my past experiences have somewhat created a procrastinating version of me. My goal is to replace the job income, make enough to max the ISA and create a great business sourcing and investing. Interested to see if I can achieve something this time, certainly going to give it a good go!! Really hope I do, hope we all do. If we can all achieve success from this, from beginners to pro's then there is no reason to ever leave this community and we can all grow together 😊
