Shootingproblem
Hi. I have a problem that when shooting, the boule always hits the left side of the target. I have tried many different options, but it always goes wrong. How do I fix my mistake? Thank you.

Can be useful to video yourself using your phone on a tripod, can watch your action in slow motion and may see something that you weren't aware of - how the ball is released, movement of arm, turning hand on release, your stance in the circle etc

@James Clapper The first one looks as though it is pushed through with extra movement in the shoulder, the second one didn't have the shoulder movement and was released early.
Just for fun… A Match scenario!
Lets say its a tight match, score is 11-12. You are the only one standing with one boule left. The opponent have the point in this round but it is like 1,5m from the jack. And you have the 2nd and 3rd boule. So shoot to win or point safe and play a new round at 12-12? Wich will you choose and why? Does it matter to you if its 6,8 or 10 meters? Happy friday all!

At best pointing gets you to play another end but does not guarantee a win and may leave you in the position unable to decide the game with your last boule, while shooting finishes the game with the opportunity to win. Of course, the Jack could end up being shot out and another end is required.

This weekends training video
I’m preparing content for this weekend and my thoughts are on setting goals for the year. Goals in Pètanque are vital to gauge progress, gather evidence of improvement and a sense of accomplishment and motivation. It’s not as easy as setting a PB (personal best) in running, weight lifting or fitness. What specific goals would YOU like me to focus on so I can create the right content?

A number of years ago when I was practicing my shooting, I used the precision shooting format which requires you to have 1 shot in different scenario/lengths and importantly I recorded the results in a spreadsheet. This helped me identify what length my shooting was best at and it wasn't the shortest length! So in a game I could then throw the Jack to my strength.
