I have had a letter from Cabot. They say "Unfortunately, it appears that Lloyds Bank are unable to provide the requested documentation. If at any stage the documents become available, we will forward these to you and the account will become enforceable once more. This means we are not permitted to obtain a county court judgements or a warrant for diligence against you. In addition, I can confirm due to the time elapsed this entry will no longer appear on your credit file. Although your account is currently unenforceable, the balance remains payable and due."

@Diane Hill I had the same as your OP, minus the credit file part. They also sent me a reduced payment offer. I have followed the advocacy letter process courtesy of Peter and made a counter offer >5% of the alleged balance, to which they have declined in a direct email to myself rather than contacting my financial advocate. Thinking on next steps? @Peter Wilson
