Just put up a new video on LinkedIn. My last one (which I didn't share here) was a bit long (around 3 minutes) so wanted to try to make it shorter and this one clocks in at just under 2 minutes. I used just my first name and it felt a bit weird for some reason, not sure why. "It's Gary" made me think of "It's Pat". I'm starting to like the new intro better than the one I initially used other than the first/last or just first name thing. Maybe next time I'll try, "Hi, Gary here..." Probably the biggest win is doing this consistently, I think this is my 8th or 9th week in a row. Hi all, My name is Doug. I’m a photographer/ videographer in the NJ / NYC area. My clients primarily pay me to create photo and video content they can use to promote their brand or businesses. I help them use that content to build brand origin stories. I would say that my number one biggest business challenge is consistent lead generation and a workflow to keep leads coming in. That type of consistency is vital to a sustainable business. But enough business talk. Let’s get to me. For fun, I like to exercise, jumping rope has become my obsession. I can’t get enough of it. I live on the Sunshine Coast, Qld Australia where I work as a meditation teacher, burnout prevention coach and mental health researcher. I worked many years as a Tibetan-English translator of Buddhist philosophy. Currently toward the end of a PhD researching how to combine traditional Buddhist and modern psych-based approaches for anxiety and depression.
