Exciting find for a forager, an entire shedded snake skin! Spring is such a special time of growth. Yesterday I found fallen pieces of hatched bird’s eggs beneath trees. And last night, I saw two deer in the basin area at CoHousing. My neighbor Toni reported seeing a fox there several days ago.

Nice! 👍👍 The animals around me have really been making themselves known too. Like the beautiful 5ft. long King snake that I found in my basement yesterday, told him he needed to go and left the door open for him.🤞 Also, recently realized that I have an eagle for a neighbor. Found their nest, then one swooped low over me, looking so dang majestical✨🦅🤩 I got the message and we give them tons of space now. 💞

After the first violets have faded, Spiderwort takes the stage.

Tradescantia ohiensis Native to Central and Eastern North America. The flowers, leaves, and stems are all edible. It doesn’t have a detectable scent. The greenery is mucilaginous, and mild tasting.

Bluetiful! 💙 Wish I could find some of that growing near me today! I have three spider bites that could use some help... Anyhoo, that first pic is so nice! Think I'll save it to add to my wildflower journal.🤗
