Funny Story
This past Thursday I attended a meetup group of the Social Collective Facebook group for Alexandria. I didn't stay long because I had a luncheon to go to right after but I did talk with two people there, one of whom was the newly hired marketing coordinator for a moving company. I told her about my door prize - one free ad on my community mailer .. and told her I hoped she won because I would love to get a moving company on the card. Yesterday she emailed me to let me know she DID win it. What were the chances?? So now I have a new advertiser for the next card already.

Closed 4 ads this week. Two for cards going out mid January. Two for a card that I am sending out on Jan 2nd, 3 spots left on that card. And, my roofer confirmed and paid payment 1 of 3 on another 60,000 cards.

Need input
I’m in a bit of a dilemma. I haven’t sold out any slots on my community card yet and I just found out there’s someone else in my town doing a 9x12 to 10,000 homes. I’m afraid to get passed up and he takes over the whole town. Do I try to continue on my community card or do I just up to the 9x12 to match him and try to beat him out before he takes over the town

Just a side note: businesses buy for different reasons, not reasons like I need more customers. That's a given. I mean like "hey, I like that guy" or " I just like how he's not pushy" or plain out trust. So don't even think about the competition until it is right in your face. At the business you are dealing with. Competition comes and goes. Remember you are in the top 20% because you are actually doing something. Soon you will be in the top 2% when you are actually making money and don't quit. Just be true to yourself and your customers will see that in you and if you have to lower your prices to gifting until the competition moves on well, think of it this way, your customers will be getting a great deal for a while. Hopefully you are in a position you can do everything your self except the printing and safe that few hundred dollars that you don't spend for all inclusive service and that will keep your costs down. Jake really is the cheapest I have seen and did do a little poking around. And also think of it this way, he may see you as competition too and it may just scare them away completely. So hang in there and don't let that get to your energy, let it make you even mmore determined. After all, look how many restaurants there are and they are all making money. Get me? Hey all, so A client just let me know that she will let me know by Sat. Would it be pushy if I asked for a website or facebook page to check out and mock up an ad for her. I would let her know there is no pressure either way. I also want the practice making ads.
