Hi, I was just watching some of the instructional videos and saw the one about setting up an LLC. I just want to clarify something. If you’re a married couple, is the advice that the LLC should only have a single member of the married couple? What of the property is owned by both spouses? Could that pose an issue for transferring the property to the LLC?

Been here a while but never posted my intro post! • Why do you want to save money on taxes? Not just “to save money” — but what does that money mean for your life? Hoping to retire from my W2 earlier than originally planned so I can spend more time with my family. • Where are you right now in your journey? We purchased our first STR in the Smokies, October of last year! I am hooked and hoping to purchase our second at the end of this year or next year in a beach market — looking specifically at PCB right now. • What’s your #1 challenge right now — your “big domino”? The one thing that would make everything else easier? Definitely feel like there’s so much I can learn from this group. I have questions around entity structures and LLC creation especially now that I’m trying to learn more about co-hosting. Excited to learn more from this group.

I know that money could be working harder for our family, and I’m ready to be more proactive and educated about tax strategy. 2) Where am I right now in my journey? We bought our first STR in June, and it’s off to a strong start with solid performance and positive guest feedback. I’ve been planning this move for years, so actually executing has been exhilarating. 3) What’s my #1 challenge right now? Letting go of perfectionism and trusting action over overthinking.
