This painting never made it out of my studio. I finished it 4 weeks ago and it was on a display wall without a frame. A neighbor’s daughter was visiting and said I must have that painting for my husband’s birthday. He is British. The painting is 16” x 12” on stretched canvas. I traveled a lot to England in the ‘90’s and after removing the house boats, barges and other “detritus”, I came up with my version of the Thames somewhere near Oxford. There is a lot of artistic license in this painting.

Another painting from memory. I spent my teenage years on Lake Erie and one morning the water was like a smooth pane of glass. After many sketches, this 16 x 20 oil on canvas is my attempt to capture that morning.

Well I finally finished the tooth of time painting. Thanks for your inputs along the way. After I thought it was finished I did a B&W photo to check tone and depth. That step helped a great deal because the tones are subtle and I could make the slight changes needed.

I just joined this group and am not seeing the photo of my artwork when I select it from my photo library. Would one of you experienced members help me. Just a little info about me - I’m a serious hobbyist who started painting at 76 14 years ago. I do mainly landscapes in oil, acrylic and watercolor.
