7-Day MAHA Challenge –A Simple 7-Day Reset for Parents & Athletes (Starts Tomorrow)
Over the next 7 days, I’m going to walk parents and athletes through a simple reset you can do at home. This isn’t a workout challenge. It isn’t a diet. And it isn’t about rankings or stars. It’s about helping athletes begin the transition from high school habits to college expectations — before college forces it on them. Why this matters right now: • Rosters are older• The Transfer Portal raised the baseline• Coaches evaluate readiness faster than ever Over the next 7 days we’ll focus on:• Awareness• Accountability• Fuel vs. comfort• Controlled discomfort• Building a college-ready body You don’t need special equipment. You don’t need to be perfect. Just honest. I’ll be posting each morning around 8:00 AM for the next 7 days.Read it when you can — but we’ll show up every day. This is for parents who want to prepare, not panic. Day 1 starts tomorrow morning.

šŸ‘‰ ā€œHere’s What You Missed From Last Night’s Bleacher Hours Q&Aā€¦ā€
:Last night’s Bleacher Hours was a small group—but the questions were šŸ”„.For those who couldn’t make it, here’s a snapshot of what parents asked live. 1. ā€œHow do I know if a coach’s interest is real—or just camp marketing?ā€šŸ‘‰ Takeaway: Attention ≠ opportunity. 2. ā€œIs my son already behind because he doesn’t have an offer yet?ā€šŸ‘‰ Takeaway: Timing matters more than stars. 3. ā€œShould we still attend camps with the transfer portal taking over?ā€šŸ‘‰ Takeaway: Not all camps serve the same purpose. 4. ā€œWhat’s the biggest recruiting mistake parents make right now?ā€šŸ‘‰ Takeaway: Confusing exposure with evaluation. 5. ā€œHow much should NIL actually matter for high school families?ā€šŸ‘‰ Takeaway: Most families are worrying about the wrong dollar signs

BLEACHER HOURS – A Monthly Conversation for Parents of HS Athletes
A Monthly Conversation for Parents of High School Athletes Bleacher Hours is a monthly live conversation for parents of high school athletes navigating college recruiting, readiness, NIL, the transfer portal, camps, and rankings. This is not a webinar. There are no slides. There is no sales pitch. It’s a relaxed, honest discussion—like sitting on the bleachers after a game—where parents can ask real questions and get clear, experience-based guidance. I’ve spent over five decades working with athletes and families through every version of the recruiting process. Bleacher Hours exists because today’s parents deserve clarity, not noise. Who it’s for:āœ” Parents of high school athletes (all sports)āœ” Families feeling overwhelmed or unsureāœ” Parents who want to support their athlete the right way When:šŸ—“ Once per monthā° Sunday nights | 7:00–8:00 PM (ET) Athletes are welcome to listen in, but the conversation is designed for parents first. There’s no cost to attend.Details and reminders will be posted here in advance. — Coach Nolan

This is great!
A Thought From a Coach.. and a Dad
I’ll share something personal. Like many parents, my wife and I bought plenty of gear over the years. The cleats. The bat.The training tools. And I remember thinking:ā€œOK… they asked for it. We got it. We’ve done our job.ā€ But looking back, here’s what I learned as both a parent and a coach: Buying the tools isn’t the same as building the plan. Gear creates excitement. Direction creates confidence. This time of year, excitement is high—and so is pressure. There’s a name for that pressure that I coined. FOBB—Fear Of Being Behind. Before the new year starts, it’s worth asking: Are we investing in things…or in direction? No judgment. Just perspective. I’ll be talking more about this next week. Parents—what’s been the most valuable investment you’ve made for your athlete so far? (It doesn’t have to be equipment.)

strong and consistent training has been the best investment we’ve made (like with you) — plus, early on we invested in a mentoring program that a lot of his fellow teammates were doing and it was great for him — they met weekly and discussed more than football. no longer has time for that program but it was worth the time and expense.
WELCOME TO THE NIL NORTHSTAR COMMUNITY!
Where Parents & Athletes Finally Get the Truth About College Recruiting. Hey everyone — Coach Marc Nolan here.Whether you’re a parent, an athlete, or a coach supporting a young student-athlete, I’m thrilled you’re one of the first people inside this new community. For 51 years, I’ve worked with over 8,5000 athletes and families across dozens of sports, helping them earn more than $290 million in athletic scholarships — in an era far simpler than today’s NIL- and Transfer-Portal-driven chaos. And let me be honest with you… Over the past year alone, I’ve spoken with hundreds of anxious, confused, and downright frustrated sports parents on Zoom calls — parents who are overwhelmed by the hype, misinformation, mixed messages, and constant fear of ā€œfalling behind.ā€I hear their stress every day.I hear the uncertainty.I hear the frustration. And that’s exactly why this community exists. So please to "kick" this off (no pun intended) introduce yourselves and share a picture or highlight- and heck while were at it Let me know your thoughts on the CFP "committee" and who's in you top 12! And yes, we'll do other Top whatevers with the other sports but for now lets just start here!

Hi Coach Nolan and everyone! My name is Christy Hulsey. I'm the mom of Whit Hulsey — a junior kicker at Blessed Trinity in Roswell, Georgia. We are originally from Statesboro, where Whit grew up playing soccer and developed his love for football. My dad was an AVID fan and played a little in college himself, so we are very much a football family. Coach, I truly appreciate what you're building here. Honestly, we are not sure whether NIL opportunities or even playing in college will ultimately be realistic for Whit — but it is his dream. I want to support him and make sure we're doing everything we can to give him a fair shot if the opportunity is there. Football has been an important source of confidence and stability for him, and we are grateful for that above all. The recruiting landscape feels overwhelming, and having a space where we can connect with families who've been through this is awesome. Whit loves the game and works hard. His strengths are his competitiveness, resilience, and tenacity. He also looks up to Coach Nolan. This year has been personally grueling for him with unexpected, surprising and unfortunate personal challenges, and he found peace and routine in his sessions with Coach Nolan. We're here to learn, connect, and see where this journey takes us. We are focused on getting the most from what remains of his high school football experience, but I love the energy of college football and look forward to the conversations, the people here, and supporting you all. šŸˆ As for the CFP rankings — I am a UGA and Whitaker Hulsey fan. Go Dawgs! Go Whit! 🐾 and I have no idea what the top 12 are right now. But! I am a mom who likes to WIN and that's where my strategic analysis ends. I'll just be over here hoping Georgia's in it and shaking my pom poms along when y'all talk brackets! šŸ˜‚ Thank you for what you do. Let me know how I can help. — Christy
