Let’s upgrade the macros.
The macros of joy: Noticing. Allowing. Sharing. And here’s where it gets really interesting… There’s actual research showing this isn’t just a cute idea. Psychologist Barbara Fredrickson’s work on positive emotions found that joy doesn’t just feel good… 👉 It literally expands your thinking. When you feel joy, your brain broadens. You become more creative. More open. More connected. And over time? You don’t just feel better… 👉 You build real-life resources - relationships, resilience, ideas, opportunities. That’s the part most people miss. Joy isn’t just a moment. It’s a builder. So now think about the macros: Noticing → tells your brain “this matters” Allowing → lets it actually land Sharing → locks it in and expands it outward That last one? That’s where the compound interest lives. Because joy shared = joy multiplied. 👇 Joy prompt (let’s test the science): What’s one small moment of joy from today? Drop it below. Say it out loud. Text it to someone. Let’s build something bigger than just a moment. ✨

It’s another beautiful sunny spring day here in the desert. Best time of the year. I’m taking more walks and sitting outside. I’m listening to the birds and the hummingbirds have just come in from migration so that’s fun! We make friends with them every year and they always come say hello and we go out to water the plants. It all brings me so much joy!!

@Jason Fish thanks!
Where is your joy coming from today?
Let’s make this simple. Think about the ENJOY pillars: E – Elevate Your Wellness N – Nurture Connection J – Join in Giving O – Open to Something Greater Y – Yes to Joy Some days, joy comes from a great workout. Some days, it’s a conversation. Some days, it’s helping someone else. Some days, it’s a quiet moment with something bigger than you. Some days… it’s just saying yes to something that feels good. There’s no one way. But there’s always somewhere. 👇 Check in: Where is your joy coming from today? E, N, J, O, or Y? Drop your letter (or a few 👀) and tell us what’s bringing it. Let’s see where joy is showing up across the community today. ✨

E- Can’t wait to exercise this morning!
Most people aren’t missing joy… they’re just not noticing it.
Not because it’s not there. But because their brain is trained to look for problems. So today, we’re shifting that. 💫 Today’s Joy Prompt (Noticing) Pause for a second and ask yourself: What’s one thing - small, quiet, easy to miss - that is actually going right in your life today? Not big. Not impressive. Just real. Now sit with it for 10 seconds. Let it count. 🔥 Why this matters Your brain has a negativity bias. Which means if you don’t consciously notice what’s working… you will automatically default to what’s not. And that doesn’t just impact how you feel - It impacts how you lead. I’ll go first: The way my workout is fam feeling this morning? Unreasonably amazing!!! Like… main character energy 💪✨ Drop yours below 👇 Let’s train our brains - and our leadership - to see differently. Joy is a strategy. Use it.

I took most of yesterday to listen to the back and forth between the Artemis II astronauts and Houston command center. How calm and centered they always were about crazy stuff. They are just so trained and prepared, yet they are dealing with new situations every day of this mission. This is my inspiration and such a source of joy for me right now. I even painted astronaut Christina Koch looking down at us on earth while floating around in the Orion spacecraft. And more mission inspired paintings are in the works! 😍🖌️🎨

Today’s Joy Experiment: Micro, Not Massive
What’s one tiny moment you can create today that feels… good? Not impressive. Not productive. Just good. Try one: - Send a voice note instead of a text - Step outside and look up for 30 seconds - Tell someone what you appreciate about them - Laugh at something dumb (bonus points if it’s your own joke) Then come back and tell us: 👉 What did you notice? 👉 Did your energy shift… even a little? Because joy doesn’t need an hour. It just needs a moment you don’t rush past.
