Friday Finish Line
Before you close the laptop… Before you head into weekend mode… Before the week disappears into groceries, laundry, plans, and pajama pants… Pause for one tiny joy move. Send one joyful text to someone. Someone who helped you this week. Someone who made you laugh. Someone you admire. Someone who has been quietly carrying a lot. Someone you just love and maybe haven’t told lately. Try: β€œI’m ending the week grateful for you.” β€œYou made my week better.” β€œI appreciate the way you show up.” β€œYou crossed my mind today, and I’m cheering for you.” β€œJust wanted to send a little Friday joy your way.” That’s it. No big production. No perfect words. No emotional TED Talk required. Just finish the week by leaving one person a little lighter than you found them. Then come back and comment sent when your Friday joy ripple is out in the world.

Thursday Joy Boost: Be With It
Today’s invitation is simple: Be with joy. Be with this moment. Be with your people. Be with your work. Not perfectly. Not dramatically. Not after everything is handled, cleaned, answered, organized, and color-coded by emotional stability. Right now. Joy does not always need a grand entrance. Sometimes it is in the sip of coffee, the text you send, the deep breath before the next thing, the tiny moment where you remember: I am here. This matters. There is still good. Your Thursday joy practice: Pick one moment today and fully be with it. No rushing. No multitasking. No mental grocery list doing cartwheels in the background. Just presence. Where will you practice being with joy today?

Wednesday Joy Check-In: Fun Counts
Let’s talk about fun. Not the β€œI bought a planner in a cute color” kind of fun. The real kind. The belly-laughing, time-disappearing, phone-forgetting, shoulders-dropping, I-feel-like-myself-again kind of fun. Catherine Price talks about this beautifully in The Power of Fun. She describes true fun as the magical combo of: playfulness + connection + flow And honestly? That sounds a whole lot like joy to me. Because fun is not extra. Fun is not silly. Fun is not what we get to have after the work is done, the house is clean, the inbox is empty, and everyone else is taken care of. Fun is fuel. Fun brings us back into our bodies. Fun reconnects us with our people. Fun reminds us we are alive, not just productive. And Wednesday feels like a perfect day to ask: Where can you invite a little more fun into your life today? Not a full vacation. Not a personality transplant. Not a marching band and confetti cannon. Although… tempting. πŸŽ‰ Just one tiny moment of real fun. A song in the kitchen. A ridiculous text to a friend. A walk without tracking it. A dance break. A game. A laugh. A moment where you stop performing and start participating in your own life again. Today’s joy prompt: What is one thing that feels genuinely fun to you right now? Drop it below. Let’s collect some joy sparks. ✨ Because fun is not a distraction from joy. Fun is one of the doors back into it.

Joy Can Hold Remembrance
Today is Memorial Day in the United States. And while many of us may be enjoying a long weekend, sunshine, food, family, rest, or a slower Monday, I want to pause and honor what this day is truly about. Today we remember the men and women who died while serving our country. Not as a vague idea. Not as a calendar square. But as real people. People with families. Stories. Laughs. Favorite meals. Inside jokes. Dreams they did not get to finish. And I think joy has a place here, not the loud, confetti kind of joy, but the sacred kind. The kind of joy that says: I will not waste this life. I will notice the people around me. I will love out loud. I will practice gratitude with my feet on the ground. I will remember that freedom is not abstract. It has names. Joy does not erase grief. Joy can sit beside remembrance. Joy can become reverence. Joy can become the way we live with more intention because someone else gave everything. So today, our joy practice is simple: Pause for a moment of gratitude. Say a prayer. Think of a family who is missing someone today. Notice something beautiful. Hug someone a little longer. Send the text. Take the walk. Live this day with honor. And then, if you feel comfortable, share below: What is one thing you are grateful for today? Today we remember. Today we honor. Today we let joy be a form of gratitude.

Tiny Delights Are Not Tiny
Happy Sunday, joy rebels. ✨ Today I want to talk about tiny delights. Ross Gay, in The Book of Delights, spent a year noticing and writing about ordinary moments of delight: a tomato seedling on an airplane, flowers pushing through sidewalk cracks, a small nod of connection, the everyday wonders we usually bulldoze past on our way to β€œbeing productive.” His work reminds us that delight is not denial. It is attention. It is the nervous system whispering, β€œHey. There is still beauty here.” And that feels like a very Sunday thing to practice. Noticing delight does not mean life is perfect. It means we are awake enough to catch the sparkle when it shows up wearing sweatpants. So today, your joy practice is simple: Look for one tiny delight. The first sip of coffee. The way the light hits the kitchen floor. A text from someone who gets you. A dog living its absolute best sidewalk life. Clean sheets. A ridiculous bird. A snack that understands the assignment. Then come back here and tell us: What tiny delight found you today? Because joy grows when we notice it. And it multiplies when we share it.
