Compliance for Cali Based ECOM THCa
I found distributors and brands that are willing to ship to my B2B customers. I just handle the marketing and sales. But compliance and due diligence is not clear as customers will be ordering through my site. Do I need to do additional supplier verification? Where can I find the regulations on how each package needs to be shipped so I can request that from the supplier? Ex. Does each strain need to come with COA? Even if it’s a B2B wholesale order?

I can’t give much detailed advice based off of this general info in your comment. The best thing to do would be to run it by a lawyer to get the most up to date compliance info for your state and situation. Rod Kight is one of the best attorneys to reach out to for THCA. But yes each strain would need to be shipped with its own COA pertaining to that strain showing it was tested compliantly within the last 365 days.
Starting thca online business
I’m leaning towards thca online business( wholesale annd my own brand ) and want to cover all my edges . What I’m asking is how do I start it? I have a supplier, from my understanding I only need a seller permit and LLC , which I have . I have a commercial manufacturer for all legit packaging…. What do you suggest I need to add to the team ?

@Illya Neely yea it’s definitely about that connection and also the way you develop your brand foundation which is what determines the entire future of your brand and how well people will connect to it emotionally or not. You only have one shot per brand If you don’t execute the foundation properly it’s most of the time better to scrap the brand and restart a whole different one than it is to try to rebrand again properly in the future. If you don’t pull it off right the first time It creates confusion in your target market and when you don’t show up consistent in all forms of messaging the consumer base loses trust in you. So it’s important to build it right the first time.

@Illya Neely think of it like creating the entire personality of the brand and how it interacts with your target demographics. It’s like working backwards so your brand works perfectly for who it’s supposed to connect to. It’s not an easy process to convey in a comment. It’d be like me asking if I got a basketball and a pair of Nikes what do I do next to get to the NBA? It’s not a quick simple answer but I do have information on it on my YouTube channel and also in my guidance program I walk you through all the key elements over the course of a few weeks and we develop your entire brand together the correct way from the get go.

@TommyEli Sharp awesome! Glad to hear it and I appreciate the support. We all have crazy setbacks and obstacles in life and what I’ve realized is they are never as bad as we think while it’s happening. Then after we get through it we are grateful for the redirection it caused and the learning we had to go through to overcome the setbacks in order to become the person we need to become to achieve what we want to achieve.
Finding the Right Cannabis Suppliers for Your Brand
The strength of your cannabis brand depends heavily on the suppliers you work with. Reliable partners not only ensure consistent quality but also keep you compliant, two factors that directly impact customer trust and long-term growth. Here’s what to focus on when picking your suppliers: 1. Compliance - Work only with licensed suppliers who follow state and federal regulations. - Verify chain-of-custody paperwork and testing protocols. - For hemp-derived THCA, confirm pre-harvest delta-9 THC levels remain under 0.3%. 2. Quality Consistency - Request samples plus third-party lab reports for potency, contaminants, and stability. - Remember: THCA naturally degrades into THC over time, ongoing testing matters. 3. Reliability - Check references and industry forums to confirm their credibility. - Avoid suppliers known for delayed orders or poor communication. 4. Flexibility & Growth Potential - Look for suppliersĀ  offering small-batch orders, white-labeling, or custom formulations. - Local growers and manufacturers often provide better pricing and faster turnaround than larger corporations. 5. Contracts & Negotiation - Negotiate bulk discounts and payment terms. - Secure agreements that define liability and quality standards. Strong supplier relationships aren’t just one time transactions, this will create your network of key players in the industry that will help you scale and grow.

@TommyEli Sharp I appreciate hearing that. It’s also why I do it because I know no one else is putting out the level of in depth knowledge on these topics mostly because there isn’t a lot of people who have the experience to give to others let alone create and publish consistent content around it since it’s such a new and emerging industry. Thanks for your support.
