There are so many gorgeous ones! I didn't do many this year actually, but this one is a fav
Dust Brush
Okay, so I feel like we all have one of those big fluffy brushes that we use for each client to brush away the dust...butttt I feel like this isn't very sterile 🤷‍♀️ How do you clean it efficiently between clients or am I overreacting?

Nail Art Qs
How do you achieve the "reverse bloom" effect that the white is doing? Would that be a milky white, laid in a certain spot and then top coat to make the dots? (Like you do with water effect) Thank you

@Paula Parry I did think that, but I feel like it spread too much

I did it 😍 I just did a water effect. So I laid the milky white, fluffed it out abit with an umbrella brush and then placed top coat as droplets and allowed to bloom
What is a “Lead Source”… and why should a nail tech care?
Think of a lead source as the doorway someone walks through before they book with you. It's the “how they found you” part (aka the clue that tells you where your next client is hiding.) For nail techs, your lead sources are things like: • Your Instagram page • A Reel that performed well • Your Google Business profile • Word-of-mouth from your favourite loudmouth friend • A TikTok tutorial that people saved • Your salon signage • Pinterest pins • Local Facebook groups • Your e-book freebies (lead magnets), guides, or helpful posts • Even a single client selfie that quietly did numbers When you know which door clients walk through, you'll know where to focus your energy. Nothing works better than doubling down on what’s already working. Once you start tracking them, your bookings will stop feeling random and start feeling intentional. Let's start a conversation about it: Where do your best clients usually come from? And which lead sources do you think you’re struggling with? Let’s compare notes and help each other 🫶

@Nicky MacLean Yes I do, but I don't mind as it's usually people who aren't in my niche. I find them to be people wanting cheap or free services. This is another reason why I charge at a higher level, so that I draw in my niche clients.

@Nicky MacLean When I started my biz I was set on making it align with me and my core values so I've really been working towards building a clientele that supports me as much as I support them. Oh gosh! That would have been a tricky situation 🙈 100% I do, though you won't 'convert' everyone. I used to be a client who didnt want to pay over $60; however, I wasn't educated on why it should be more. I've definitely have had conversations with possible clients and have refused services and explained to them why and they are shocked at what I've been able to teach them...and yep..they tend to come back to me once their nails have healed
Dual vs Paper
Please help 🙏 I want to branch out into a new service that is going to provide me with more flexibility. I currently offer soft gel services; biab and soft gel extensions. I find at times I can't offer the greatest service due to nail shape or a desire for a very specific length. I also find the soft gel product isn't hardy enough for some clients. I'd also love to expand into unique shapes. I'm torn between stepping into paper or dual forms, so would love to know which you like better? I'm also on the hunt for a product to use in conjunction with the forms, that could still be a soak off product. Thank you 🤍☺️

@Nicky MacLean oooo they are stunning! Yes that good old trial and error 😅 Which product have you tried? I'm hoping to find something strong like hard gel but that is soakable

@Karen Mijatovic may I ask where you learnt paper forms?
