Ooh I’d love to see your crochet! I crochet too. I’m sorry to hear you’ve been in hospital. I hope you have your strength back now.
Patchwork with scraps
This is the beginnings of my patchwork cushion cover using scraps and odd bits of fabric. It’s a nice slow make and I’m enjoying every stitch. Even the paper hexagons are made from scraps of discarded paper. It’s going to be a 16inch square cushion so I’m getting there. I’m not sure I have enough to patchwork the back. That might have to be plain.

@Caroline Walmsley Oh it looks fab. Love the dragon fly fabric. And what a nice thing to have with those initials on. Very precious. Yes let sleeping dogs lie as they say. I’m only up as I have a carer in the morning.

Pages in Bloom – A Month of May Art Journaling Challenge
Welcome to Pages in Bloom — a month of floral art journaling during May using old magazines, scrap paper, book pages, packaging, tissue paper, and any bits you have on hand. This challenge is about enjoying the creative process and making flower-themed pages in a way that works for you. There is no pressure to complete every day or use every prompt. The prompts are simply there for inspiration. Your goal is to create as many pages as feels convenient and enjoyable for your own schedule, choosing whichever prompts spark your interest. Some may make one page all month, some may make ten, and some may create every day — all are welcome. Perfect for Beginners No drawing skills needed No fancy supplies required. Just glue, scissors, paper, and a willingness to play. What You’ll Need: Old magazines Scrap paper Glue stick or other glue medium Scissors Journal, sketchbook, or loose paper Optional: markers, stamps, paint, stickers, washi tape Prompt Ideas for Inspiration Day 1: One Big Bloom – Create a page with one oversized flower Day 2: Petal Parade – Fill the page with flower petals only. Day 3: Garden Colors – Use only pink, yellow, and green scraps. Day 4: Tiny Bouquet – Make a small bouquet in the center of the page. Day 5: Wildflowers – Create a loose and free wildflower page.
