Start Here! - Introduce yourself: Where you're based / Fave 64 Games / Work etc
Hi Guys I thought it would be cool to introduce ourselves and find out a bit about each other. I'll go first I guess :-) I'm based just south of London, UK and I'm an IT Trainer (26 odd years now). Been into Commodre ever since my Dad bought a Vic 30 around 83. Some of my fave 64 games include Gunship, Elite, Uridium, The Mars Saga, Nodes of Yesod, Ghost n Goblins, Forbidden Forest, Blue Max...oh man I could go on forever! lol Looking forward to meeting you guys here!

Hello all. My name is Charles Hawn but please call me Charlie. I had got off of social media around 15+ years ago. Then in Sept 2021 I bought a C128DCR and when I opened it to reseat the chips to get it working (it was sold as working and I saw it working in its eBay photos), I found an item which had been added for sure. I reactivated FB and also made a Twitter account and posted photos of the item. Within a few hours I had the answer that it was the MMU unit for the C128 Super CPU. It's been 4 years now that I got back on social media and in that time have made many friends in the retro computer community. I have loved computers since my Timex Sinclair 1000 in 1982 that I bought for myself for $100 with money from my part time job at McDonalds ($3.25 an hour). Then my C64 Breadbin that I received for Xmas in 1983, which is still set up on the desk that I built for it in 1984 in 11th grade woodshop. It still works along with my 1702 monitor and two 1541 disk drives from the 80s. I still use it all the time. In 2021 I at first only wanted to reacquire an SX-64 that I had owned one 1986-1988 while in the Army stationed in Bamberg West Germany and a C128DCR that I had owned one from 1988-1993. From there I was bite by the Commodore collecting bug and have been trying to get as many of the different Commodore 8-bit models that were made. I did buy only one Commodore PET (PET 2001-N) to represent the PET line because I live in a TINY 2BR house and my collection takes up a wall in what should be the dining room. I want to thank Phil for starting this. It's good to see some of my friends already here and I hope to make some more. Charlie
