Well I am in the market for a new car and I did a pre approval application with CarMax just to see what my options were. I know I probably shouldn’t have done it. 🤦🏾‍♀️ They claim no effect to your credit etc. However, I have been with my employer over two years and it was never on my credit. Today I got a notification from transunion saying a new employer was added to my report. 😒 Just thought I’d share cause just that quick transunion is just automatically adding stuff no questions asked.

Ok I just had to come here because a lightbulb went off. Rebecca you mentioned that something as simple as a background check and a drug test can be a consumer report and now I am absolutely taken back. I applied for a life insurance policy and the requirement was to give a blood and urine sample. On the brochure they state that they will use these samples to test and see if you are susceptible to certain diseases using your serum. So, should they not like the results underwriting can choose to turn me away!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's already bad enough they are making money off of our lives but who is to say they wouldn't sell this information on the back end?! Now I have a rabbit hole to go down. 😂
