🎬 New in Director’s Notes 🎬
I just added a quick post on the Shooting Ratio in AI, and why not every take is a keeper. Here’s the truth: in traditional filmmaking, often only 1 in 10 shots makes the cut. The same goes for AI. If you’ve been frustrated that most generations don’t hit the mark, you’re not alone. I get frustrated too. That’s the process. Multiple takes lead to the magic. Check it out now in Director’s Notes (in the classroom).

Yeah, this is such an important part of this because if you don't have this expectation, it's really frustrating.
✨ Two weeks in… and I’m blown away.
This community launched just two short weeks ago, and already I’m seeing people post their experiments, images, and motion pieces. It’s been exciting to watch — and I’d love to see even more of you share what you’re creating. As I’ve been following the conversations here, one theme kept coming up: prompting. A lot of people have mentioned how frustrating it can be to really get the look and feel you want. So, this past week I dug in, put my head down, and built something new: 🎬 How to Prompt Like a Director This course is all about moving beyond “trial and error” and learning to design your prompts the way a filmmaker designs a shot — thinking about character, atmosphere, emotion, and lens. The result? Images that look intentional, cinematic, and uniquely yours. I’m super excited to share this with you today. It's over in the classroom. Dive in, explore it, and let me know how it shapes what you’re making. I can’t wait to see the results you all create.

Work hard. Have fun. Be silly. Leave folks off better than you found them.
