YOUR DAILY HQ POWERUP MESSAGE
I’m going to feel… I heard this the other day on tv and for some reason, it stood out more than all the other millions of time I’ve heard this phrase. There are several variations of this, all guessing at an unsupportive emotion When I go on stage I’m going to be terrified I know I’m going to feel disappointed It’s going to be very upsetting I’ll be gutted when this happens All decisions made long before the event. Every time you catch yourself in this negative emotion loop, pause, remind yourself it’s a story you are telling yourself and either choose a more supportive emotion or remind yourself that it’s not real because it hasn’t happened and move on. Every time we play out negative emotions in our head before they even happen, our body doesn’t understand the difference between that and reality so it all gets stored in our body and we wonder why things play out exactly as we imagined.

That's a great way of looking at it.
Can you spare a virtual hug
In need of a lift today, from this lovely community whilst I navigate some family challenge. No matter how much Zen wisdom some days just suck and today is one of them! ‘Let go or be dragged’ is a Zen proverb. And so whilst I feel the pain, I remain anchor in the present moment, knowing that emotions are just like the clouds, they come and go and never stay the same. Thank you folks

@Sean Hegarty welcome to the group. It's great to hear people supporting men. I hear a lot about supporting women but I think men need support too.

@Sean Hegarty totally agree 😀
Give us your weekly wins
We have had a great week and although I’m finishing it on the couch with a cold, the win here is that all our client work and podcast recordings and networkings were before today so I can sit on the couch with my laptop while Matt brings me bacon butties and hot chocolate. That’s a win 😊 Going to edit the episode we recorded yesterday with one of Tony Robbins trainers who weirdly also completed the same speaker training as me and Matt in 2008. What have your wins been this week?

My wins this week. As I mentioned in my own post there is finding a local source of beeswax for my leather balm. I have also applied for 2 big events; one in Newcastle (which I did last year) and one in Manchester. I had a shop in Edinburgh message me through Instagram, they want to stock some of my leather goods 🙂. It's a good match. I have still rested as I'm supposed to be off this week. It's just hard to totally switch off when there are deadlines and exciting opportunities. Jenny, I hope your cold gets better soon.
