As I step into the first day of work, It’s like art and creating Showing up and saying to myself “I’m going to do the best that I can today” And that’s enough. No external pressure or distractions. I stayed focus today and now feeling it’s time to rest What area can you give yourself more permission? Sending everyone lots of love today.

Where you get it? How much they go for new?
Hello 👋
I'm Laura - an Australian artist living in Thailand with my husband and fur baby Jasper. I always dreamt of living close to the beach and now I do! I enjoy drinking strong coffee - picked this up from travelling through Vietnam... I am also fond of a cup of tea, some of my favs at the moment are: Earl Grey, Jasmine Green and the occasional matcha or Thai lemon ice tea. I really love chatting with other artists and creatives I think they live the most interesting lives! It seems like the space for that here. In a more official capacity I am a holistic integrated creative art therapist and creative coach. I recently run a women's retreat in Vietnam that was so heartwarming and soul nourishing.

Hey @Laura Day. Nice to meet you!! I love Thailand; have some great memories from there. Friends of mine from Toronto, Sasi and Allan, started https://treetopcountry.org a number of years ago. They're awesome people and seems like a positive initiative if you're ever near Chiangrai. They're not always there but Allan's always pretty reachable whether online or through the restaurant. Had some great memories with him and Sasi too; great people

WOW!! Love the energy. Thank you All for your warm welcome and wishes; I've never seen such a positive lens on such an (unintentional) delayed entrance! Let me do my best Kramer ; - ) I was born to artistic parents (though never really practiced traditional art genres) and grew up in a family business in produce retail and commercial farming (carrots, celery, etc) in Canada. Thankfully, my father was wise enough to see (and resign to the fact) that I was a musician and gave me the blessing (along with extensive warnings) to "follow my heart" so I went on to study music post secondary (Jazz at college then Classical at university). I got into tech via music (bought my first synthesizer at age 13 and used computers for sequencing; before digital audio recording was available to musician home studios, etc) and used the freedom of telecommuting to migrate my family to the Caribbean about 15 years ago. It's been awesome down here. Zero regrets. It became clear to me that people in "developing countries" are typically going to be strongest in the communications arts for all kinds of reasons but lack of support for STEM subjects is a factor. Anyways, nice to meet y'all. Looking forward to interacting further. Sorry for the delay; busy times atm; should be better next week but definitely as time goes on. Thanks for your hospitality and positive energy!!

@Jenny Landis I consider communications arts as encompassing all art forms that express whether via language, visual arts, kinetic arts, musical arts, spiritual arts, etc. In other words, this group is already firmly embracing an art form centred in the space. Here’s how perplexity described it: https://www.perplexity.ai/search/what-art-forms-are-considered-p2nKUEb2Tdqffjjgyda_Iw Has been an honour to be here and I feel blessed for the experience. We all sincerely and fully appreciate how we have been adopted by the community here. There is lots that can be done for and from here and good souls are always welcome. Hope you come and check it out sooner than later! Would be honoured to show you and other positive people around. Lots of possibilities. re synthesizers, “soft synths” is the way to get started these days. You can turn most modern personal devices into a synth engine. Reach out when ready with a list of the devices you’re thinking of using and I’ll run a report for you on the best path forward. Catch up soon!
