I told myself this 6-week challenge would be DIFFERENT — so I’m putting my money where my mouth is. I officially entered my Sleep Era and bought an Oura Ring to stay aligned with my goals instead of guessing. Here’s Night #1 results: ✨ Total sleep: 6h 26m (up from my usual ~5 hrs 🙌) ✨ Sleep efficiency: 92% ✨ REM: 1h 50m (28%) ✨ Deep sleep: 1h 28m (23%) ✨ Restfulness: Optimal ✨ Resting HR: 50 bpm Not perfect — but REAL progress. Why this matters (especially for fat loss + muscle gain): 👉 Deep sleep = muscle recovery + growth hormone 👉 REM sleep = nervous system reset + motivation 👉 Better sleep = better workouts, cravings control, stress regulation 👉 Recovery IS part of training. My official challenge commitments: 🔥 Build toward 7–7.5 hrs (5 sleep cycles) 🔥 Reduce nighttime scrolling + emails 🔥 Limit recipe doom-scrolling (this one hurt 😂) 🔥 Treat sleep like a non-negotiable workout This round isn’t about perfection. It’s about intention. consistency. execution. Choosing growth over comfort. Showing up even when it’s inconvenient. Being the example. BBB Diva has entered her recovery era. Sleep era activated. Day 5
A big win for me has been learning and implementing the 3 golden rules of social meals. Today, I had a high protein breakfast, got in my strength training and mobility exercises, had a snack, got my steps in, and will be going into the football game ready to enjoy some delicious comfort food without binging or feeling like a blob of regret and cheese afterwards.🧀 Another big win has been meeting so many lovely people here. It's been really fun getting to know people from all over the world. The support from this community is invaluable, and I'm so grateful.🤍 Over the next six months I'm really looking forward to reaching my goal of 20% body fat, seeing more muscle definition and feeling stronger, and continuing these lifestyle changes.💪🏼 I worked out with my husband today and he caught these pictures of me trying to use this new pulley contraption I got him for Christmas😅

Day 39: The Big Domino
One good night's sleep. That's all it took. Same habits. Totally different day. Workout just happened. Four abs showing. Steps easy. The days before I still showed up - but I was pushing through on willpower alone. Today? So much easier. That's the problem. My system needs me at full energy. So I'm fixing that: - Food gets delivered - Protein shows up - System runs on its own Bad sleep? Everything still works. I've known sleep matters for years. But doing it is what’s important. Even if life happens - newborns wake up, emergencies pop up. I got pulled off my rhythm. Time to get back to it. A jacked dad sleeps. It's the base for everything. If I'm not sleeping, feel free to call me out. The journey continues.
