I used to never ask. Now I’m asking on every job.

I don’t think I would automate it… just because I have a system in place for that. My invoice gets printed and put into a close out packet. The packet goes in the clients hand the final day of a project. It includes many things (referral program, google review, did you know, etc) as well as the invoice. I’ve been very happy with the results of this system, and the responses from my clients as well
A Win after today’s zoom meeting
I signed into the meeting today. I had just sold a large hardwood sand and finish project. Past client, ideal avatar for my business. Love working with her. During the session, Jay discussed quick wins. He mentioned upsells and maintenance options. After the meeting, I went back to my client. I offered her flush mount registers made from the same wood as her flooring. Her current registers are plain and outdated. My offer? Modern style while offering the benefits of flush mounts; no tripping over the vent cover, no stubbing toes, not catching chairs or furniture on them. 13 registers at $200 a piece. Her response? “Let’s go.” Then I offered her a maintenance option. Not much, because it is only necessary every couple years. But, she signed up for regular buffs to keep it fresh, and a recoat every 3 years. I probably would’ve just taken the win of the sell (it was pretty expensive; massive profit margin). But instead, I acted on what I heard today on the call. #winning

Before I leave the driveway. My average job size is 6k. So, all that’s left on the table when I’m finished is around $600. I show up the last day of the job with the final invoice printed (due upon receipt) in my close out packet that I leave with the client.

Certainly leads. They’re picking up. But still inconsistent and slow

@Jay Carter I agree. I think it’s a bit of both. But, when I have more data, I can predict better.
