The Road Less Traveled
The Road Less Traveled As we went rockhounding last weekend, we decided to try a new path we hadn’t been down before. Some parts of the road were ok for some vehicles to go down. Much of it was like the pictures below. The pic doesnt really do it justice to show how steep and rough it was in many places. 2-10mph on these parts of the road in 4low. As we went along this very rough part of the journey, there were: -rocks of various sizes and shapes protruding - many deep crevices where you had to steer to the left of the right to get through - places where you had to slow down to a crawl due to steep terrain. -other places in the journey where you could pick up speed and travel along at a normal pace… fairly smooth roads in comparison. Isn’t that just like life? Some more so than others, but still…. Maybe you are an addict, been through domestic violence, grew up in a house of dysfunction and abuse, or maybe you werw abandoned by those who were suppose ot care for you and left on your own to fend for yourself. Maybe you didnt have any super traumatic situations, but life still has its twists and turns, its mountain tops and valleys, its high places and low….. When we were going through this part of the road along this journey at a crawl….the Lord impresseed upon me… “The Road Less Traveled”….. In Matthew 7:13-14 Jesus says, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” It also reminded me of this verse where Jesus says… “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 There are many roads roads out there spiritually, but they don’t all lead to heaven. Only one does. No matter what you have been through in life, what kind of roads you have been down or are on. Jesus is the only way. He is our peace and safety through the bumpy roads in life.

This is such a beautiful and profound reflection. 🔥✨ Your story paints such a clear picture of how the narrow, rugged, uncomfortable paths of life often become the very places where we encounter Jesus most deeply. Those rocky, slow, winding stretches remind us that He is not just the destination—He is the One guiding, strengthening, and steadying us with every inch forward. No matter what our road has looked like, whether it has been broken, painful, or unfamiliar, Jesus remains the only Way, the true path that leads to life. And even when we’re moving at a crawl, His presence is our peace and safety. 🙌🏽💛 Thank you for this powerful reminder to keep choosing the narrow road… the road that leads to Him.
💭Thought For Today
Good morning dear women of faith. As I was sitting with the Lord this morning and contemplating some things, He drew my attention to "Catastrophic thinking" What is that you ask? When our thoughts automatically go to the 'worst case scenario'. That in and of itself can be unhealth and hinder us. When we go there with the Lord, our imagined 'worst case scenario' does not scare Him. When we think of " what is the worst thing that can happen" with the Lord as our processing partner, we often realize that "even if" the worse were to happen, i will still be ok. Confronting that fear (although uncomfortable), discharges the power of fear of it and over us. Once that fear is dissolved, it allows room for our faith to grow. Have a blessed day ladies.

Wow, this is such a powerful reminder. 🌸✨Thank you for sharing this revelation. 🙌🏽 Sometimes our minds try to run ahead of God, painting pictures of the worst possible outcomes… but the Lord gently invites us back into His presence, where fear loses its voice and truth takes over. 💛 I love how you said that even our “worst case scenario” doesn’t intimidate God. YES! 🙌🏽 He stands outside of fear, outside of chaos, outside of uncertainty—and when we process those thoughts with Him, the grip of fear starts to dissolve. Suddenly what looked like a mountain becomes small in His light. There is such freedom in realizing that even if things don’t go the way we imagined, God is still faithful, He is still good, and we will still be held. That truth makes room for our faith to breathe, expand, and rise. 🌱✨ Thank you for this beautiful morning reminder to surrender our thoughts, confront our fears, and trust the One who never leaves us. Blessings to all of you today—may your faith be strengthened and your hearts filled with peace. 💕🙏🏽
