Question @Dennis Wichter Is the fungal-dominant and bacterial-dominant two different ecosystems... Would increasing bacteria tend to increased the bacteria predators cycling more life and nutrients in the soil without affecting the fungal world?
@Phillip Greenwood it still requires pulling pants down for women. But on a boat it does work! Unfortunately, we women still have need of wiping even with that, lol. Yes, I do have one and tried it.
@Betsy Moll I find a lot of grubs too. But them and worms are in abundance. The nematodes are needed again but im going to sell the place so ill get them in the new one. Its going to be several years ye on it though.
@Dennis Wichter cool, I know it held up much better than the hoops did. I had the sides rolled and stapled with a 1 x 1 board. The only part that tore on it was caused by the broken metal. I'll definitely go back with it when I set it back up. Im motivated now to do it. Im going to use some TPO 60 mill on the top of my houseboat that im having to replace. So I want the top dry when I get the chance to put it on. The blackout film kept it much cooler there too. But im glad I had to go without it for a while because I found that the standard fiberglass, resin, and gel coat paint does not hold up on roofs very long and needs repairing yearly. The TPO is a powerhouse that is guaranteed 25 years. But in my experience, it goes way longer. I've been using some that was already over 25 years old in a lot of areas for almost 10 years now and its still performing like new. Its been under and over so many things too.
@Dennis Wichter definitely, but its for a boat. And I don't like having to re-fix things like the top deck, because it doesn't last under the hot sun and weather. If I had the molds to build the top, I could get it much stronger, but its not possible and more costly to do that. It get tiny cracks, next thing you know its leaking. Thats something I don't want in a boat. TPO acts like insulation and is uv protective. It is bendable so it moves with the wood and weather. I could go with a 45 mil, it still has the 25 year guarantee. but im going to be doing the great loop, or at least the rivers from Indiana to hopefully the keys. And its not a huge houseboat so I don't want to keep extra things stored on it. And i wont need to worry about possible leaksfor the rest of the time i'll be using it. It goes to my son after im done. Im building it to last a few generations because I can. And its a major lot more durable than the fiberglass, resin, and gelcoat. Which costs almost as much but not near as durable.
I have my first ripe pineapple and a new one is growing! The new one should be ready to pick before Christmas. Im surprised it finished ripening since the 1 picture was taken 2 days ago. This one had grown up in my house over the winter. I started the plant from a top of one I bought 5 years ago.
@Dennis Wichter the hardest part is before the roots get developed. And making sure all of the fleshy part is taken off the root area. For my husband, its carrying the plant in a d back out of the house for winter! Lol
