🚨 Marketing Strategies - FREE RESOURCES
What are some of the best FREE strategies you have found for advertising your business? I'll compile a list with information from the best comments. Comment below with the name of the platform and strategy you are using to acquire attention and customers. Resources: 🚀 Instagram / Facebook / Threads Crossposting - I post 5-60 second video clips daily showing various things from drop off and pick up, to maintenance and daily tasks. People like to connect with people they know, and if you show yourself in the content you will 2x-3x the power of each reel. Most of them I mute the audio and post it with some of the included music. 1 Post to Instagram can be cross posted (with linked account) to 3 different social platforms + your story. Thats FOUR places for a potential customer to see your content. Great for a brand builder. BONUS Points if you can tag another company or do a local business collaboration of some sort. -Joe Maxey 🚀 When I'm slow ill drive the truck to run errands. If I need something from Home Depot instead of taking my 1 ton and trailer I'll take the Peterbilt and a dumpster and head to Home Depot. On the flip side you need your rig to be highly noticeable. Pictured below is my new rig. - Tim Wand 🚀 Boots on the ground, cards or door hangers in hand. Gotta talk to people! -Candice Engel

@Joseph Maxey Some of the areas we serve do and some don't, but we have a lot of neighborhoods that in general will just take them down as they see them as "trash". Sigh. I keep trying though!

@Rollup Roll off Curious what your script is when you approach them?
🗺️ Use the MAP FEATURE to Network Effectively!
One of my favorite parts of creating this network has always been the REAL world application of it. I get referrals from guys in and around my area all the time. Live in South Florida and have a roofer coming up to Tampa? You could refer them over to me and keep your customer from having to shop around for another company to help. Use that logic in your city or state. You can: Source back up if you're over booked or equipment goes down. Broker a deal to another company any place in the county. Make a friend in your local community to grab some drinks with and talk shop. The opportunities are endless! It's up to you to capitalize on them. LET'S GROW THE NETWORK! ***Map pins are off by 10 miles to give people privacy. They won't know your address, just your general location.

Hello from SE Denver area!!
📌 START HERE 📌
Welcome to THE DUMPSTER RUNNERS NETWORK! Please introduce yourselves and tell us your company name and where you're from. We are going to be taking a deep dive into the world of dumpster. Talking about equipment, marketing, networking, community building, and so much more. We welcome everyone from rookie to master. From aspiring entrepreneur to seasoned veteran of their trade. I hope all of you can take a moment and introduce yourselves. Once that is out of the way we can dive into the wins or pain points each of us is going through. You never know who might be right down the road from you. They can become a GREAT back up resource if your equipment goes down or you're overloaded with work, and if not - maybe you just make a new friend to chat with who shares a similar interest! Make SURE you check out the MAP tab at the top. It will show you roughly where each member is located. It says that it it shows each person as 10 miles off roughly, but I have noticed some people much farther off then I believe they should be. We'll have to check that out and see how it performs over time. FANTASTIC feature for seeing who is close to you though. UTILIZE IT!

We’re Dustin and Candice—the team behind DC Haulers operating east of Denver, CO. We formed our LLC in November 2024, got equipment in December and January, and after the winter weather passed, we really got rolling in March 2025. We have 7 roll-off dumpsters ranging from 15, 20, and 25 yards. We recently added junk and snow removal to our offerings. Snow removal will be truck plow, and 2 ATV, plus 4 shovelers. With over 20 years running a successful construction business in the Denver area, Dustin understands the real demands of job sites, timelines, and debris management. Dustin is a CDL licensed driver with tons of truck driving experience and haz-mat. Candice brings a strong background in technology, operations, and entrepreneurship, ensuring our service runs with efficiency, transparency, and professionalism. Groups like these have saved our business time (learning curve!) and money!! I learn so much from all your posts and questions in the Facebook groups, so I'm grateful to have this as an additional resource!

@Joseph Maxey Dumpsters are the primary focus but construction is keeping my biz partner afloat
🎢 How is business in your local area?
I keep hearing that people have been dead, and that's not JUST in the dumpster industry. I've heard it from a very well established tile installer. I heard it from a buddy of mine who repairs sprinkler systems. I just read a post about issues with getting paid at another mans storage lot. How are things looking for you in your local market? Are you experiencing a slow down? Is it business as usual? Slammed as can be? If you're slow; what has been your primary focus for digging yourself out of the hole? If you're slammed; what has been the greatest driver of growth and success? Personally I'm in a weird spot. Year over year I'm crushing it, but if you look at 2025 as a whole, this has been my worst month BY FAR. So it's hard to say what's going on in the world based on my experience. Let's hear from you guys on what you're seeing!

July sucked! August has been mostly back to our "normal". First year in business, so we don't even know what normal is yet! We are definitely hustling to keep our dumpsters moving.
