Dumpster Branding
I know this topic has been covered before, but I thought I would share my personal perspective and noticeable differences we have felt by changing the color and branding. •Sorry this went longer than I expected. I’m sure like most we didn’t know anything about the dumpster business before jumping in. We were lucky enough to get ahold of a lightly used trailer and 5 dumpsters that were all black. Not giving it a thought we placed our freshly made logo on them. Quickly identifying that that wasn’t enough. Our logo design doesn’t have our contact info so we added block letters saying Rent Me and our phone number. We thought it was great. We heard people saying that they saw us but most of them already knew us. We kept adding a few more dumpsters and slowly getting them lettered up to look the same just keeping them moving was our focus. We all are very proud of what we’ve achieved no matter what our size is. We normally don’t look at ourselves from the outside looking in but we know what is seen from our accountability mirror right. I found myself thinking that it’s not too dirty, it’s just a little bit of rust. I know I’m not the only one. Historically thinking, did any one of us ever think we would say out loud ā€œman that’s a good looking dumpsterā€ Nope! But I bet you have now. šŸ˜‚ influencers like @Joseph Maxey keep stepping up and pushing their branding over the top and looking damn good as they do I must say. I had an opportunity to do just that for Freedom Dumpsters Va this year. We were facing a total overhaul and I couldn’t see a better time to do so. We did a color change and a logo overhaul without changing the logo. Our yard location hasn’t changed but our dumpsters went from black to blue and we incorporated what we call the bullet on the front leading edge of each side. The new blue pops and the white background makes our logo stand out proud. After a very nerve-racking period getting through the change I don’t regret anything. Don’t be afraid to paint your top rails or make your dumpsters two tone. Stand out in the sea of other dumpsters. Little things really do make a difference.

@Jeffrey Clarke Thanks
šŸŽ¢ How is business in your local area?
I keep hearing that people have been dead, and that's not JUST in the dumpster industry. I've heard it from a very well established tile installer. I heard it from a buddy of mine who repairs sprinkler systems. I just read a post about issues with getting paid at another mans storage lot. How are things looking for you in your local market? Are you experiencing a slow down? Is it business as usual? Slammed as can be? If you're slow; what has been your primary focus for digging yourself out of the hole? If you're slammed; what has been the greatest driver of growth and success? Personally I'm in a weird spot. Year over year I'm crushing it, but if you look at 2025 as a whole, this has been my worst month BY FAR. So it's hard to say what's going on in the world based on my experience. Let's hear from you guys on what you're seeing!

Business for us has been going very well all summer. Stepped into the truck and 10 new dumpsters in February. From May on I found myself going into most weekends with everything rented out. Mid summer I ordered 4 more dumpsters and they no sooner came in and everything started coming back into the yard right about the time school started back. It was as if the phones were turned off. Just got rid of another SEO guy and went over to Magnate with a new website and google ad campaign. It’s been about 2 weeks now and I have received more online orders this week than all summer long. Fingers crossed we pick back up like before and push hard through the year end. Currently holding 40% growth over previous year. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

Welcome to THE DUMPSTER RUNNERS NETWORK! Please introduce yourselves and tell us your company name and where you're from. We are going to be taking a deep dive into the world of dumpster. Talking about equipment, marketing, networking, community building, and so much more. We welcome everyone from rookie to master. From aspiring entrepreneur to seasoned veteran of their trade. I hope all of you can take a moment and introduce yourselves. Once that is out of the way we can dive into the wins or pain points each of us is going through. You never know who might be right down the road from you. They can become a GREAT back up resource if your equipment goes down or you're overloaded with work, and if not - maybe you just make a new friend to chat with who shares a similar interest! Make SURE you check out the MAP tab at the top. It will show you roughly where each member is located. It says that it it shows each person as 10 miles off roughly, but I have noticed some people much farther off then I believe they should be. We'll have to check that out and see how it performs over time. FANTASTIC feature for seeing who is close to you though. UTILIZE IT!
