So true ...
What are your thoughts about this? I know there was a short time that I thought maybe better gear makes a better archer, but now I think as long as you have a decent bow and set of arrows, you can get great results just putting the time in and making them an extension of yourself.

Under spine arrows and twisted limbs can not be made to preform through repatriation. Also for those unfortunate individuals who have been practicing a form that is in conflict with the dominant eye. You just need help in sorting out what is amiss. Yes pun intended.
Introduction "hi all"
The old timers that I new usually had a catch fraise that they used as sort of a signature. For instance Floyd Eckelson's was. "Keep em sharp" short and to the point Ha ha. The sharpness of our tools is fundamental in the ethical pursuit of archery hunting. Likewise I feel that being honest with one's self with respect to the effective range that you are capable of is as fundamental. After all we ear talking about ethical behavior.

@Shane Baker moose have that wolf distance thing. Makes it a real challenge with traditional bow. I practiced using a range finder and thought that I could pull it off. In the end I couldn't let her rip on a live animal at 50 to 60 yards with my Westly special. So bought a Hoyt compound in 2014 for the hunt. I hadn't had one since 1984.

@Rocky Zeien I think that i read it in Bow Hunter magazine long ago that the average person is four times worse of a shot on bear than on a target.
Progress
Its been over a month since i did a bad sprain on my ring finger of my string hand. Finally able to start getting some shots in on my longbow again, not a tonne but some. Cant use my heavier bows yet, just the light ones but that's progress. Getting to anchor felt impossible the first two sets but once I was able to get there was nice to see I still got it, was getting two inch groups from 15. Starting a physio archery training program soon. Starting to realize I need a bit more upkeep as the years go 😆

I had a trigger finger in my string / ring finger. Lucky my hand doctor was an archer. When I told him that I had drawn a bear tag. We skipped all of the BS. And got the surgery out of the way. In his words "let's get it done so that you have time to practice".
